I agree that he won't come cheap, especially if he keeps performing as consistently as he has been this season, because interest from other big clubs is bound to pick up. I think our best shot at getting him would be an loan with an obligation to buy in this mercato, as I feel any chance we have of signing him will drop significantly after that if he keeps up his form going into the WC. At this point he's just on the wishlist of unlikely transfers for me, as we haven't been linked to him so far(to my knowledge) unfortunately :frown2:
A loan with obligation to buy? Yeah, sounds very logical to loan one of the best young LB in Europe and star of their team. Do u think people in Wolfsburg or Germany r stupid? Would u loan Pogba to another club?
Two years ago Wolfsburg paid around 9-10m€ for a 19 year old Rodriguez fully aware of his potential and after a few months of adopting to the new league, he steadily increased his performances and is convincing and consistent now. Everybody, who knows a bit of football and follows Bundesliga knows that Wolfsburg having a jewel there and u can be sure that Allofs and Co. know it too.
Allofs has already announced further investments (Malanda pretty much wrapped up, Lestienne very likely and de Bruyne possible) and times look bright for Wolfsburg considered the last years failures under Magath. Wolfsburg under Allofs is moving into the right direction and the money they offer can be very tempting (Diego, Gustavo). You can be sure that they will fight tooth and nails for him so it 1st needs Rodriguez really forcing a move to even make Wolfsburg think about selling him and then 2nd u have to offer them big bucks, as a lot of clubs ll be interested in signing him, so to think u could get him cheap is pure delusion. There r not many good LB, as they r a rare breed so there have been plenty of rumours about interested clubs, latest example was Chelsea:

Its tough to get him, but not impossible.
