Possibility of Quag to Lazio according to il Tempo. The deal could be worth 6m.

We need to get rid of these older players while they still have some value.

Quag and Peluso out for 10m? :weee:

TBH Peluso is a good player, but Ogbonna is simply the better one and he needs time on the pitch.

What about De Ceglie? Our evergreen leftsided defender/winger... Are we ever going to sell him or he is seen as this extremely important 3 games per season player?

Seems like we're keeping him on the account of the uefa rules of home-grown players per team or something like that.
But maybe we can bring back Boakye or Beltrame (whom I've seen some of his games at bari and seems like a very decent attacking midfielder in their 4-2-3-1) and let go of the DJ?

We'll probably only get rid of De Ceglie when an equivalent comes through, Mattiello for example. If we are talking about natural talent and versatility then I can't believe that kid could not take at least the same early career route as De Ceglie and do better with it.

I wouldn't get rid of Quag in Jan. Unless if we are out of the CL by then. Peluso is way down in the pecking order to be of any particular use to us right now.

Well, if De Ceglie was somehow reliable and consistent even though extremely limited I wouldn't mind a bit. Actually, I enjoy having such a player.

Such a player is Padoin minus his versatility.

De Ceglie is none of that. He can be played with normal risk only against bottom 6-8 teams and in case we are controlling the game already. Has a fat €1.3 M salary and WILL NEVER IMPROVE.
Why not just get someone else there now - youngster or whoever?

Unless it's a solid offer that we're sure won't come again in the summer, I wouldn't sell any of the players who're getting playing time from Conte. And that goes no matter if we make the CL knockouts or not. After all, our superior depth compared to the rest of Italy is partly a reason why we're doing so fine, and even if we don't play CL, there is a chance we'll end up in EL, where I want us to do well. Just like I want a solid team in coppa Italia.
If we get an opportunity to put our hands on some top player this winter (Mata or something), then we can start thinking about making space in the team for the new guy. In every other case, I wouldn't touch this team.

Yeah apart from players like Peluso who are so, so far down the pecking order they are practically ghosting their way through Juve, we're better off keeping our players unless we have a certain replacement lined up

Look at teams like Napoli and Roma, they have a very capable starting XI, 1 or 2 injuries and they look like a whole other team

We had a defensive crisis against Livorno, and we still fielded up a strong line up. Had it been Napoli missing 4 defenders, they'd have ended up fielding nobodies and dropping points against clubs they are expected to beat

Depth is so important, it's our main advantage in the league. Get rid of that, and during injury/suspension patches we'll end up fielding completely useless scrubs and it WILL cost us.

At his early carrier he was exactky that, but CR ruined to promote Molinaro...
