Does this mean that he will overtake the "pepe" role, just playing on the left of the trident - moving Giovinco/Vucinic to the right (the not so hardworking, creative winger) and Tevez swapping with Llorente as the main striker?

One thing is certain, tevez will not be playing on the wing for much longer, I'm pretty sure that it's stated in his contract that he has to be a striker / ss (?)

It could work, shame that we can't field both tevez and big L together at the same time.
I've always thought that Coentrao is a better attacker than he is a 'defender' so that is a possibility, problem with playing Tevez on the right is that it cuts out his ability to come inside and shoot on his strong foot

We can't play Tevez on the right - which is bugging me. I want to see both him and Llorente on the pitch at the same time, and I want them both to be strikers. 4-2-4 in a post Pirlo world?

Coentrao is good on the right too, even if his preference is the left, pretty much all Iberian wingers are taught early to play on both wings, not just one. Defenitely more proficient there then playing Tevez on the wrong side he cant cut in from.

Post Pirlo and Barzagli i'd say

Ive read somewhere that Banega will be free to go too?
If that is true WE MUST SIGN HIM!

4-2-3-1 is your answer.
I'd be up for that. Allthough I have a feeling that 3-5-2 will be our formation while Conte is the coach. Coentrao will be deployed at LWB and we will most likely get an anchor like Matuidi/Radja to stabilize the midfield post Pirlo.

Buffon

Bazagli - Bonucci - Chiellini
Lichtsteiner - Vidal - Radja/Matuidi - Marchisio - Coentrao
Tevez - Llorente

Can't say that it looks bad on paper, at all.

Pogba is in there somewhere, it doesn't feel natural to replace Marchisio's name when listing formations - I want him here and I want him to do good.

Without someone like Pirlo to spread the ball around, 3-5-2 is ineffective and with that midfield you really don't need 3rd CB. Creativity has to come from somewhere and I think 4-2-3-1 with Tevez dropping little deeper, Pogba and Vidal holding the midfield and two hard working wingers is the way to go.

Not necessarily. Napoli under Mazzari perhaps being the best example, we could move Vidal into an offensive role. At the same time you ahve the penetrating runs of LIcht combined with the added danger of Coentrao who can actually get past his man.

Perhaps the answer is to go for a 2-5-1-2 with Buffon playing a sweeper keeper ? :D

Lewa, Matuidi & Menez.

Now that's a mercatto.
Well, the deal between Bayern and Lewandowski was done and dusted beginning 2013 (Feb), so there is no chance for anybody to get him. Some top clubs tried during the summer (Real, Chelsea and City) and Dortmund would have loved nothing more than selling him abroad instead of losing him to Bayern, but Lewandowski was/is simple not interested and he is keeping his promise to only go to Bayern (contrary to Vidal).

The English and Spanish media have, like always, no clue about Bundesliga so they continue linking him with all clubs possible e.g. Chelsea, Real, Barca and so on.

Havent u heard the statement of Mourinho during CL press coference?

"I think his story is a book that was written a long time ago," the Portuguese told Sky Sport Germany ahead of his side's Champions League meeting with Schalke. "Everybody knows how the story ends. It surprised me that he was even associated with us. It's that obvious."

Lewandowski to Bayern is 100% done deal u can quote me on that. He said a few days ago:

"I have already made a decission so nobody should consider to even call me."

The only problem is, that he cannot announce it before January.

I also believe Fucilei of Anzhi's contract is expiring as well. Get him!
Jusilei's contract expiring in 31.12.14 so we could for him in June.

Agree about Matuidi that would be an amazing signing.
Lewa will go to Bayern or Real imo.
Menez could be nice addition on free.

All that is fine and well, but people change their minds after they receive a fax from :beppe:
