Ogbonna 13m
Asamoah 18m
Matri 18m
Vucinic 15m
Krasic 15m
Yeah it looks like we've bought a 15m+ player every year since Marotta took over so what the hell is Joe on about.
15M was just a benchmark. Give or take a couple million.

I know we buy many players for 15M, its Marotta's favourite number. But have we ever spent 25M? Which is cheap nowadays to get a real quality player.

Asamoah and Isla were bought on co-ownerships. Can we buy Di Maria on co-ownership? Keep dreaming.

Do you think 18M will get us Di Maria? No.

The reason why I put those names down is because they are realistic targets. Its easy to say I want Di Maria, Mata, etc. but it just isn't possible. Serie A is taking a beating financially, Juventus hasn't spent 15M+ on a player in years.

Most of you are just getting yourself amped up for nothing, and come the end of January/summer you're always left disappointed.

Its just not how Marotta works, he never has and never will.

But I'm ready for the "oh this year we'll have money..."
Better yet, we had a net spend of less than 15m last transfer season :D

But it is funny to read all those names in this thread.

Oh, and Nainggolan will end up at Inter. You heard it here first.

All you Scots have an indecipherable accent, so anything you say doesn't count.

Edit: I completely misread what you said because this reply makes very little sense, even for me.

Juve can. and will spend more than what you claim if it considers the player to be worth it.

if what you claim about juve's lack of spending power is true, it would not have bothered chasing after Van Persie, Jovetic or Aguero if it didn't serisouly think it was capable of getting them.

however this could change this season if juve doesnt qualify for CL knockout rounds.

Don't be suprised to see Juve spend more than it normally would if Pirlo doesnt renew, or Llorente fails to adapt

So you're going by what might or could have happened instead of what actually occurred.

Because maybe signing Jovetic would have meant no Tevez & bye bye Pogba (for example) :D

It's extremely simple if you look at our financial situation. Or call it looking at the facts.
If we go out of the CL in the group phase, there really are only 2 options if we want to spend serious money: selling first or a new cash injection. Difficult to predict just how likely that 2nd option is right now.

Hell, even if we survive this & the next round of the CL, the funds will be quite limited.

what might have happened is a good indication of what the club is capable of, to a certain degree.

I just want to point out the club had no problems spending 18m (co-ownership or not, that is the total sum) on an injured player.

it can and will spend money if, it deems it neccessary.

The amount of money is also largely dependable on how the Mutu situation pans out. These 21 million are in my mind exactly the difference between Nainggolian or no Nainggolian.
If we really end up having to pay Chelsea the fine for those stupid fucking reasons, and don't make it out of the group stages, I see a very thrifty year ahead of us.

calcio tribunal =/= uefa/european courts.

also juve is not caught off guard and put into a pressure situation like it was with claciopoli.

it can afford to act in it's own best interest without having to worry about third parties making it difficult to operate

We should look into getting Leonardo Suarez(argentine youngster) for our future no 10. Kid has an amazing amount of talent. Could be exactly what we need to lead us into the future. Plus Tevez is already here and he could teach him the ropes.

If we manage to get out of our CL group, we should reinforce our midfield and get a decent/quality winger/rwf in January. It could be the difference between a short stint in the competition, or a trip to the semis in April.
