I'm with you on this one. It's not like we can buy him but when you have a chance to get a player like Mata it doesn't matter if he fits Juve system or not.

We need WC players no matter if they fit our 352 or not. If we got Mata Conte would just change formation to accommodate him because our team would benefit from it a lot. Much more than buying a backup for Pirlo or Asamoah anyway.
I totally agree.. All I stated above is that id really like to avoid Mata playing alongside De Ceglie or Peluso

What a team Napoli will become if they get Mata and Luiz.
Now you've gone too far with it :D There's no way they can afford both definitely. Chelsea refused to sell Luiz for 40m... If Mata is leaving he'll cost about 35m easily.

We could get Mata. We could try for the famous loan unless someone else offers which I think they would.
You can bet your ass on it, there will be a lot of interest once he asks to leave.

Both are bench players and they're gonna stay there. In a 433 Conte would use Chiellini/Ogbonna ahead of them IMO while in 352 Peluso is second choice that's it.

Still I'd prefer to get a player like Mata. It's not like our offense is good enough. Tevez is the only sure bet here and Vucinic too once he wakes up in a good mood :D It's too little for a club of Juve stature.

I was actually only commenting on the news that Benitez wants both. Nothing I am expecting or thinking it might happen.

We need a backup LWB/LM, a Pirlo replacement(if Pogba is not to be deployed there), and then, only then, we can start looking for a an AM ala Mata/Draxler
The absence of Asamoah is crucial for us. Playing a 352 looks like 532 when the wingbacks are as poor as Peluso and De Ceglie.. And who would make space for an AM anyway? Tevez or Vucinic? Singing a big name player ala Mata means a tactical change or rotation, benching either Vucinic or Tevez.
I think that the purpouse of getting an AM is that he would be the Pirlo replacement. Why would we play 3-5-1-1 or 4-3-1-2. I'd rather much more to play a 3-4-1-2.

I can see Mata even fitting our current formation partnering Tevez even if support striker is not his best position
I don`t think we will go for him anyway... I think he will go to Napoli in January and we will try to get Lewandowski in June (not saying we will succeed...)

I still think we need someone world class to partner Tevez as if we want to be the best in europe we should have a fearsome attack and we certainly dont have that
Just think of attacking partnerships in europe and you will see we are far from being the best in that department

We need to get someone who could really strike fear! If he has the whole package then that would be great but we have to try to get a lot better in that department!

3-4-1-2 with Mata looks exciting but is too scary to implement in CL. We would have to play Asamoah-Pogba-Vidal-Licht across the middle to support our attackers defensively.

With Mata I'd like to see something like this:

Buffon
Litch-Barza-Chiello-Ogbonna/Peluso
Marchisio-Pogba-Vidal
Tevez-Mata
Llorente

Fuck width, give a free role to both Mata and Tevez, let Litch and Ogbonna run havoc in through their flanks while being supported by the mids both offensively and defensively. Anyways...I hope Mata won't turn out to be another disapointement like Ozil/Gotze and going elsewhere.

Quit being a bitch man, you always whining and saying it's not possible. If you don't like what you reading, skip over it, ignore it. Nobody needs to be constantly reminded how unlikely it is for him to come, we all know that, for fuck sakes this is the wishlist thread.

While were at it let's get me some Marcelo.

Buffon
Litch-Barza-Chiello-Marcelo
Marchisio-Pogba-Vidal
Tevez-Mata
Llorente

Juventus ready to offer a two year contract to Xabi Alonso:
The 'Bianconeri' want to take home the Spanish international for free next June, offering him 9 million for two years. But they will try to buy the midfielder already in January, Madrid want 6 million.

Would be a meh signing, he's a great player and would give us another 2-3 years of top performences but I really want us to steer away from the whole deeplying midfielder and get more advanced creative mids. But he'd still be a great addition meanwhile, Pirlo is inconsistent and Xabi would be great alternative.
