I guess from Genoa's perspective it makes sense in the short-term. I'll assume their left back is awful so they will be getting an improvement in the form of PDC plus they know we're clearly not going to be wanting Perin straight away.

But... still. I can't help but feel Genoa are being stupendously short sighted here. All for a player who is pretty damn bad. Meh, not complaining though.

@Mark, watched Ryan Gauld again the other day (in an immensely enjoyable Aberdeen win away to Dundee Utd).

He was playing trequartista in a 4-2-3-1, though I think he has generally started wider.

Anyway, he had absolutely no influence on the game and go subbed about half way through the second half.

Aberdeen's midfield absolutely dominated Utd's, so Utd found it very hard to get Gauld the ball. They were reduced to playing long and trying to get their centre forward to knock the ball down to him, but that didn't work because their centre forward ain't much good at that.

Gauld, playing in the middle, was also up against Ryan Jack, who is probably the best defensive midfield in Scotland just now, so there wasn't much danger of Gauld being allowed the space to start running with the ball.

So I've now seen him twice and still know very little about him - other than the fact that he's incredibly amazing and due to sign for Barca any day now...

Peter Pawlett is the most interesting young player in Scotland just now.

He's not getting the hype because he's a bit older (and plays for Aberdeen), but this is his first season of being fit and properly used, so he's showing the ability he's always had.

Fast, aggressive trequartista who powers around the pitch contributing fully defensively while still being extremely productive going forward.

Been almost Nedved-esque in his performances at times this season.

And is really specialising in these bursting run in the channels to break through a packed defence:

No-one has figured out how to stop him because he's so quick and because he starts so deep that it's very difficult to make sure there is no space for him to drive into.

Celtic tried playing a centre half in midfield to mark him, but still couldn't stop him being influential. Extremely rare for Celtic to pull a move like that against another Scottish side, which just shows how scared teams are of him.

Pawlett is looking good against everyone.

Gauld, as far as I can tell, is looking very good against the shit teams, but having a very limited impacted against the better sides.

And this was a pretty special bit of defending last night from that McGhee kid that Juve were meant to be scouting:

PSG to offer Pogba mega-money deal !
Paris Saint-Germain have made their interest in Paul Pogba official, prompting rumours that the French club will try to tempt the Juventus midfielder a €7 million-a-year wage package.

More and more informations about Pogba and PSG, makes me nervous ! :(
I hope kid love us more...

Well I guess we can move Gauld from the prospect list to the suspect one. Now we don,t need ¾istas so find me the new Lorenzo Amoruso or Marco Negri. :D

I don't see the point in it. If we didn't have Llorente I would be gaga on it but decided not to take it seriously so that's why I never mention it. We'll bring back Gabbiadini or something if Quag or Mirko go. If both leave we'll get a SS. That's what I think.

I do know that before joining Bayern Mandzukic wanted to come here.

To be fair to Gauld I am pretty sure he was struggling with an injury and nearly did not play last weekend. From what I have seen he is the most interesting player in Scotland by a fair bit, although I am a fan of Stevie May

Agent has said that Mandzukic is very happy with life in Germany and he will try to fight for the starting 11. He think, Mandzukic will not leave Bayern.

Mandzukic's agents response was in regards to a January move. Which makes sense.

Why would Mandzukic come to us in Jan? The sole reason behind him potentially wanting to leave is due to Lewa displacing him. Lewa isn't there until the Summer so atm Mandzukic is the only striker apart from Pizzaro who is leading the line for a team who can win the CL and will win the league.

So he's denying Mandzukic wants to move in January which doesn't cause unrest in the Bayern camp but also doesn't rule out a Summer exit. It was the most sensible answer tbh.

Also, PSG raiding Serie A isn't a bad thing in itsself. It's the fact that Milan let two World Class players go and never brought any WC talent back in to Serie A. They thought that selling star players to 'balance their books' would be wise. It was a horrible decision and it frightens me when people suggest we do something similar.

Well if Vučinič and Quagliarella leave us, then I guess would be fantastic to have him here. He's a hardworking striker. Maybe we will sold Tevez or Llorente (I hope not)?

we should sell Isla and buy someone decent, free or not
Selling Isla for 6,5m and buying Berardi second half for 3m.

May just looks like a ten-a-penny busy SS type.

Good player, but not going to turn out to be anything out of the ordinary.

no-one is gonna give 6.5M for half isla because udinese wont allow that unless they get 9M for their half. so if we want to get 6.5M for isla someone must pay a total of 15.5M so udinese gets 9M. thats alot of money for a mediocre player like isla...
