This is only a difference of scale (how good the player is/was) but not of principle. The principle Zach is evoking here is that injuries shouldn't necessarily make us ignore purchasing the player as long as the docs believe he can recover (there is still a risk that the docs could be wrong ofcoarse). The player can be anyone.

I just hope we don't get mediocre player like Biabiany that has very little to offer. Watched him last night against Napoli, he is average player.

biabiany could be a x-factor in the champions league against top teams if he comes in january. almost every top team has a very offensive lb who loves to go forward (alaba, marcelo/coentrao, alba/adriano, evra, maxwell, kolarov/clichy etc.) and biabiany, as one of the fastest players in serie a, could very well take advantage in counter attacks of the space those lb leave. one long pass from pirlo to biabiany could very easily decide a knock-out game

Biabiany receives the pass, runs for a bit., goes 1 on 1 with the goalkeeper, then realises that he has no end product and misses
