Ibarbo is basically another runner with an odd trick or two up his sleeve. And tbf we have plenty of those 'runners' in our squad already.
What we need is proper flair and fancy, not someone who can cover 12km distance every game.Sometimes we really do obsess with players having high work rate so much so that it becomes priority criteria in choosing targets.
We have plenty of players with high workrate,we just need some players with skill and talent to compliment that.

Yeah - hopefully it is not Ibarbo. I think its a defender, but James Rodriguez won't be too bad either.

Most of the people here are talking about our finances or the lack of, but this team has only two options:
1.Unloading top players, signing youngsters and going for the long hole + FFP
2.Signing top quality wherever needed and trying hard for European success and all the additional revenues that would bring.

As long as we aren't going to try a middle ground strategy I am all for whatever we do.

James Rodriguez :howler:

If he's right it's either Ibarbo or Balanta. Perhaps an unknown utility player.

Where does Moggi get this information from anyways? Old connects? Was he right about something like this ever before?

After his DS career, Moggi was usually wrong, or changed his opinion to look less wrong

 that would be one of the best signings we ever made.

However, Monaco signed him for 45mln and there's no way we're even interested in such expensive players.
If we value Pogba at 80m,im sure Monaco wud value Hames at 100m.They are in the same boat as us.They have no reason to sell unless an insane offer arrives and rightfully so.
