there are 3 types of players Bayern wants to get rid of. 1. old and washed up 2. injury prone 3. simply not good enough. Contento is a 3. he is probably the worst player Bayern had in the last 5 years. under Heynckes he played very few games, he even used Badstuber and Gustavo before him at LB. now Guardiola tried him at CB (because hes a solid passer) a few times when Dante was injured against low table clubs. lets say it this way, he didnt screw up anything :D. all in all, he is better than Peluso offensively (not by much and not that its hard to be better than Peluso :D). defensively, its a close one again. id say they are about on the same level, with Contento having another + which is his CL experience. and another thing. he is named (Diego) after Maradona, so his parents where probably from napoli and fans of napoli too. and considering our experience with the last 2 napolitans we had (Quag and Ciro) i'd say stay away from Diego....

Most of the people here are talking about our finances or the lack of, but this team has only two options:
1.Unloading top players, signing youngsters and going for the long hole + FFP
2.Signing top quality wherever needed and trying hard for European success and all the additional revenues that would bring.

As long as we aren't going to try a middle ground strategy I am all for whatever we do.

Kaka rescinded his contract with milan , i think they will try more seriously for iturbe now :(

Plus that statement is too general , there are a lot of players in columbia that may interest us and we may end up signing . He should have given a name .
