I wonder if someone might tell me more about the actual playing style of Berardi? I've not watched more than one or two full game for Sassuolo.

From the footage I've seen, if I was to compare him to the playing style (not full ability) of any player now...the player he reminds most, is Thomas Muller. Not a winger, but does play outside in a 4-3-3. A "space investigator", to quote the Germans. Strong finisher with his feet. Tall and tough enough to not be muscled off the ball - can finish with his head too. Not a centre forward, but not a giovinco-like waif either. Good eye for where to occupy space. Is making very intelligent runs to where he can receive a pass of the football.

Is this wrong? Somebody tell me if this is...
