We need an injection of pace if we want to go far in the Champions League. You either dominate and control games or you sit back and hit on the break. Considering we sit back for long periods of time, we need to be able to counter attack.

As it stands we have no direction, no clue.
I've benn saying it for a long time now but some experds here will tell you we're just fine.

 Good luck with that. Roma aren't gonna sell their best defender for our scrap.

Bonucci dominant in air? Is he really?
This made me laugh

We need faster defenders no big blokes. Almost none here rates Caceres but the guy has been immense comparing to bonbon.

Is this the Wishlist thread?! :shifty:
Yes, and we are wishing that bonbon makes those hip swivel tackles at another club.

What's the name for his awkward hip swivel that he deploys every time he's blocking a shot/near an attacker
That damn move brought us more unfortune over the years. All those deflections.

We've seen what a team like Benfica can do on the counter, and really we need to be capable of that too. Look at their squad, nothing special. Their Wingers aren't even that good. But they're quick, and they're not afraid to run at their man. So with a pair of average pace merchants they can counter the shit out of any team. Our defence is (on paper) better. Our midfield is definitely better, our strikers are better. Yet they attack in a way that we simply can not.

So we don't need to spend 100M to change formations from time to time. We just need some pace, some direct play. I hate to say it but fucking Biabiany would improve us from the bench at this rate. We're ridiculously slow and we always play the ball backwards and sideways because we have no hope in hell of counter attacking. So teams who are caught 'on the break' by Juventus think 'Nevermind I have 50 seconds to get back into position now' and before you know it the team that had 6 men forward against us now has every man behind the ball.
