I think we should ask for Di Maria + Isco (on an initial loan deal with a fixed price for his full rights) and 30 million Euros. We could then use the 30 million Euros to buy someone like Shaqiri or Cuadrado, which would then allow us to deploy the 4-3-3 formation everyone is craving.

Di Maria + Isco + Shaqiri/Cuadrado gives us so much attacking verve and versatility.
Dude, that is so unrealistic :p

He's right. We should've destroyed the inferior Celtic opposition by an aggregate score of 9-0, peppered their goal with at least 37 shots on target, and maintained a healthy dose of 67% possession.

idk... at glasgow they were in control of the match for more than 45 minutes, heck at times juve made it so as if celtic was barcelona, how was that not constitutes as being dangerous?
Juve let them control the game knowing that Juve could soak up the pressure and hit them on the counter as they began to tire. the worst thing we could have done is gone full blown attack only to tire ourselves out and be left exposed

I would give him away too for Di Maria+35mil fuck that coon, I want a player that is loyal to the shirt I don't want us to be held ransom everytime he renews a contract. And if we can, include a buy-back option, we all know how Madrid hardly keeps their players for too long.

These are trivial matters Badass. The fact is we got dominated by inferior opposition. We should have never allowed that to happen, regardless of the inflated scoreline.
still i don't see how we were dominated, i don't even remember Buffon having to make a safe in either legs, our game plan was based upon allowing celtic the ball and hitting them on the counter, and it worked. They played right into our hands not the other way around again i don't see how we were dominated? having more of the ball yet doing nothing with it does not constitute domination, beating someone 5-0 over 2 legs does!

This. Unfortunately tactics are lost on some...
some care about possession over actual game plan. as i said they played right into our hands and they were punished for it, i fail to see in what manner we were dominated

For the Celtic match, we let them dominate with possession. Conte played that round perfectly.

What if he turns out to be +100 mil worth in a few years though? wouldn't you regret it we'd let him go so cheap (comparatively)?
Considering I think Di Maria is a 40M+ player, I think we're reaching close to that number.

No one would ever pay 100M for Pogba.

Well we did give up 10 shots on goal and 17 shots in general. 10 corners and a million crosses. Ambrose missed that sitter of a header in the 6 yard box.

We relied on Matri to counter-attack and somehow he succeeded. We were in a bit of a finishing slump during that stretch of games but somehow we converted every half chance against Celtic in that first leg.

I mean, I guess the tactic worked. Or if you judge it by what we've seen since then you could say that's just the way we play in Europe.
