i can't see it happening to be honest, I think Udinese are also holding out till after the world cup in the hope his value increases with exposure. That said one can only hope that Isla has a beast of a world cup :p
:D and then Real Madrid gets him and he fulfits his dream... but on the other hand, Cuadrado could have a horrible WC :hellyes:

Why ? Is llorente going to be unavailable untill the 4th groupstage game, is the defence gonna be in such $#@!form that despite an improved organisation, they'll leak 1 blundergoal per 2 games, and is the final game gonna be played on the north pole ?

We got a solid team that would have easely passed the groupstage if our defenders werent blundering and if Llorente was there from the start.
The problem is not the if the players are "in form" or not because with the likes of tevez, vidal and pogba I expect juve to demolish teams like Copenhagen. the problem is the stytle of play. the 352 is too defensive when it actually defends and too exposed when dealing with counter attacks which is the style of play that most small teams like Copenhagen and Celtic play.

It's a horrible style of play in Europe and conte knows it. he would have used 433 (also interpreted as 4321) against real Madrid if that was not the case.

We play 352 next season in Europe and I can guarantee that we will not do well. especially with the quality we have in defence and midfield. this will eventually lead the likes of pogba to leave and juve to become a team of arsenal level. even if we reinvest the money we will not get a pogba against for another decade.

The main reason we got eliminated was for we had too many individual mistakes. Especially coming from our defense. But i still don't see how the same team playing a 3-5-2 can shut down and/or handle teams like Bayern or Real Madrid. We were too exposed and offered little offensively.

Back to today, Cerci seems like a reality, how would he fit in this same system?

I think you should first count to potato, and then talk tactics to me.

There is nothing wrong with our team or tactic. Last year it worked pretty good, untill we met bayern, who destroyed everything, such as barcelona's 433.
Juventus mainly needed llorente to be working as intended, and the defence to not gift away.

The only reason we changed formation against real, is because conte learned from the bayern game that a 4231 with high speed wingers is difficult for a wingback formation.
Again, this team won so many trophee's, is breakin so many records, and next year, is going to do very good in the correct european competition.

Only 2 teams in the world have wingers of the speed and quality to trouble our wingbacks. Real madrid and bayern munchen. Against those we'll play the modified 4321. Against anything else, 352 will do just fine. Especially with llorente set in.

And cerci could be a standin for tevez

you should count the number of times the likes teams like Copenhagen and celtic looked dangerous against us.

Last year we got lucky with celtic and that's why we got though. look at the draw this year, all of the teams are top top teams exept man united and if you think of the next season there are teams like Liverpool it is going to be a lot harder.

what the shit, seriously ?

Celtic, was a game before llorente and tevez (who define our 352 and made it so much better), that we easely won, restricting them to making the play (they cant) and shoot from afar. They had 1 good chance

Copenhagen ? What ? THAT game, is the msost wastefull game juve ever had. we should have won 6-0. But we wasted, and were clumsy on a freekick.

Juventus with llorente and tevez, and now pogba, has again improved so much. We'll take on those EPL tranny's and beat em down.

if Bonucci stops making shit like most of the last season again and we get another CM to get more rest for MVPP the 3-5-2 doesent seem that bad. But, obvioulsy, we need to have a backup plan (4-3-3) for strong teams with wingers (Real, Bayern, PSG potentially, MAYBE Chelsea and Dortmund)

What juve needed, was fucking Guarin.
Currently, what we are going to need, is still Guarin and rotation forwards.

- - - Updated - - -

But yeah, Bonucci and Buffon's blunders seriously hurt

i have a few questions for you so when you got time i would appreciate if you could answer.

1. do you think we will sell pogba and would you do it if we get or the money we get is used on Di Maria and Coentrao or Cavani/Lucas and Cavani/Verratti????

2. what do you think about these players and how well would they fit us: Ranocchia, Lulic, David Pizarro, Murru???

3. would you bring any of these if we fail to find a good bench player on their positions: F. Rossi, Marrone, Immobile, Gabbiadini???

thats it, you dont have to answer now, im reading this thread everyday so whenever (and if :D) you answer i'll find it ;)

why we struggled against fiorentina then, a team just marginally better than celtic and copenhagen

What I think will happen, regardless of our real needs, is:

- Conte keeping 352;
- exchange 1/2 Immobile + 2/3M for Cerci;
- Vucinic + Quags leaving for +- 8M total, but Peluso + Padoin will remain;
- Giovinco will be offered to Parma in exchange for Paletta or Biabiany, but he will refuse to go - will stay till his contract ends in 2015;
- Youngsters like Berardi, Gabbiadini, Rugani will remain at their current clubs for further development;
- We'll pay around 8/10M for Paletta and around 12/14M for Osvaldo (it will be Conte's priority)
- We'll get around 3/4M for selling Motta + Fausto Rossi but De Ceglie will return;
- Isla will remain for around 6M to be paid to Udinese;
- Despite our needs for additional depth in the mid and LM there won't be enough money to do it;
- Pogba won't be sold and will renew with a buyout clause of 60-70M.
- our 3 youth products in CL will remain Marchisio, De Ceglie and Giovinco;

In the end, the starting team will be exactly the same next year, in the 352, and having spent around 25M, the bench will be (433):

Storari / Caceres, Paletta, Ogbonna, Peluso / Padoin (DM), Marchisio (LCM), Isla (RCM) / Giovinco (LW), Cerci (RW), Osvaldo

Personally I'm not a fan of this outcome - I'd rather have investment in younger international players with bigger upside. But I can definitely see Marotta trying to keep Conte happy, going for his preferential 26+ established Italians to add depth. No changes in the starting team or scheme or any big signings.

Good free players like Menez or Fernando will demand a lot of money in wages - I don't see them coming and honestly it's not worthy to bring them if they are going to be so overpayed.
