It doesnt make too much sense to compare players coming from youth being just 18 and a relatively established player of the year. Reus had a clause of around 20m€ when Dortmund got him. So even when he came from 2nd division club Ahlen for a 1m bargain, he and his manager were very aware of possibilities through clauses from the beginning.

So why should he change that, when he can afford to demand it? You cannot do it with Bayern, as its a principle of them not to allow any clauses..under no circumstances and Bayern also couldnt guarantee enough playing time not to mention a starting place.

He earns around 4-5m€ (always gross in Germany) now and u can be sure that other clubs would have doubled that. He chose the Dortmund project and sportive reasons with Klopp in a wonderful team. As the equivalent, he demanded the clause..seems very fair to me..u have to consider, that Dortmund is still not established as a top club and the wages r too low.

Wish Di Maria could be our big name signing. He's the type of player Conte loves. Conte loves Pepe and Di Maria is same type of player with obviously way more creativity. But that guy would probably cost at least 35m and that is if Real give us the Sneijder/Robben treatment. 40m looks more likely though.

If not Di Maria I'd love to see Lavezzi here. Personal favorite, runs like nobody else and knows the Italian game. 25m for him and maybe 20m for Lamela? Could revive his career with us, still young.

yeah, only chance to get Di Maria is if Conte says he's the type of winger he wants and Agnelli let's Marotta spend about 40m.

Obviously not as big as Pepe because Pepe is a niche player but Di Maria's work rate is incredible and he's constantly tracking back to defend.
