Bayern and Madrid can afford to buy whoever they want bar a handful of players. Selling him to improve our squad is a hell of a lot better than what you're suggesting.
we are competetive enough with our current squad and if we add 2-3 quality (they dont have to be WC) players we are top 4-5 in Europe. however, there is something more important than money and improving the squad. thats the clubs image among other teams, players, managers and fans. if we sell Pogba that sends a signal to others that Vidal, Asamoah, Ogbonna or Llorente might be available to buy.

what im trying to say is we dont need the 70M we might get from Pogba that badly. hes a future Ballon d'or winner and you must be really lucky to land one of those in your team. and once you have one you do everything to keep him.

Hell, if a cool guy like Alex gets banned for nothing, I do expect Rakib to get banned for dupe accounts.
I love you

Let me see if I understand this, you can break rules left and right but as long as you, make a couple friends nothing will happen to you? Nice going.
Thats basically how it works

Spot on! Perception is a big aspect to it all as well. We can't be seen as being a club with ambitions who wants to win European trophies in the future when we are selling our young superstars. We need players to help Conte change tactics in games, something that only happens in a blue moon, e.g. Real Madrid games. Obviously Conte sees it being important to play differently when facing Europe's best, so we need to be able to have 1 or 2 players who can make us change tactics when we need to. Conte wont change from the 3-5-2 in Serie A when it has basically won 3 consecutive scudetti.

I don't us dropping 40 plus million on Di Maria either if Pogba stays so we need to accept if players like pogba stay, we cant afford superstars. This is why I see Cerci and Menez types joining. The only other area may be bringing in a player like RVP at a cheaper price than Osvaldo. Higher wages yes, but in form he is world class and can help us rotate our forwards a lot more.

It's not about selling Pogba willingly, it's about selling him if he wants to move. As opposed to benching him and throwing 60M down the drain
That sends a message to other players indeed.

'Don't go to Juve, they'll try and ruin your career if you want a move'

Exactly. We should actualy send a message with Pogba. This would send a message to those little bitches who see Juventus as a temporary destination until something better comes up.

You dont come to Juve to get a name for yourself and then leave after a season or two. You come to Juve to win everything, or die trying, and to stay there your whole career...

Pogba knew all that very well and what type of club he is joining. So if he wants to play for another team he can wait till hes past his prime and we dont need him anymore

can someone explain the vanpersie/juve rumours ive been not only reading alot of lately but hearing commentators talk about it...
Rumors only. United are having a poor season. Van Persie is old. Juventus et al were interested in RVP back in the day. Journals say RVP will leave for Juve et al. Typical stuff.

yeah but players come and go...we have had better players than Pogba that have joined and left and still could have offered a lot more...e.g. Zidane, Davids, Vieri to name a few. If Pogba puts his hand up to leave for whatever the reason is, highly likely cash, then so be it, we cant help that situation. No different to the awesome players mentioned above.

But there is a major difference between Pogba wanting to leave and the club requesting a transfer and starting a bidding war. I would be absolutely ropable if this was to happen. And this is what really worries me...when we are clearly not making the same revenue as the big boys in Europe and offers like 70 million get put on the table for a player that joined for free, from a business perspective we would be stupid not to take, but from an on-field perspective it would clearly send a wrong message.
