when we sold zidane we got world class talent like buffon, nedved, thurham etc.. also zidane left juve when he was 29 years old. I expect the same for pogba. he should leave us when he is 27+ MINIMUM. on the meanwhile I don't mind seeing players like nani, menez,cerci come in instead of dimaria because I don't want to see pogba go. In a few years time we will be more financially stable and we could really push for a big name players and push for champions league. guys we can't rush this time will come. we have our top manager conte and if he can bring our the best our of a 35 year old pirlo, a tevez that just scored 11 goals last season rejuvenate players like barzagli then I have faith in him.

We won't win everything there is to win without money, and we don't have money. We need to sell someone like Pogba or Vidal to purchase another superstar.

It would be sad, Pogba is a huge talent, but for the money that he is rumoured to go for I would wrap him in a bow myself.

Marca is saying that Real Madrid value Pogba at 60M and could use Di Maria or Coentrao in a deal.

My dream mercato would be Coentrao, Di Maria, Perayra/Rossi, (useful Giaccherini type players), and Menez.

Now that team can contend in Europe IMO.

We lose a bit of midfield depth, but overall we're a better team IMO.

That team is not much better than the current one, actually the midfield is weaker. Di Maria is not going to make us Champions League winners.

his point is, to put it simple: tevez is better when played as a striker then on the wing...

you want to play tevez centrally then you need to bench 1 midfielder and we cant to that. we lay 433 next season and tevez will play leftwing with a free role so he can go centrally or wide. we can't play with only 2 midfielders.

If you put Tev as a CF and Llo as a ST in a 4-2-3-1. Vidal is limited and people moan.


So the only way to avoid all of these things is by sticking to a 3-5-2 or going to a 4-3-1-2. Both of which would be terrible ideas.

So Vidal gets limited, Tevez gets played slightly out of position or Llorente gets dropped. Pick one

the only players worth selling pogba are unavailable to us (ronaldo, messi, suarez, bale etc.) there arent any players we can buy (with the money we eventually get from pogbas sale) that can make us a better team than we are now

There's not really much room for improvement on our starting XI. At best, we can replace Bonucci with someone better.

A good transfer campaign for me would to be getting a quality CB and send Bonucci to the bench, offload the likes of Quag, Giovinco, Padoin, Peluso, Isla, and sign better bench options - a LWB, RWB, SS, one or two CM, and one of those cheap wingers we've been linked with, for tactical options.

Lavezzi, meh... Never rated him that highly when he was at Napoli, just a counter attacking player who's weak in build up, kinda like Cerci. And according to the PSG poster, he hasn't been anything special in France either. Pass.

And limiting Vidal to a 2-man midfield just won't do.

Say we get 65M for Pogba, 15M of our own budget and 10M from sales.

We buy Coentrao and Di Maria (They may make up 50M of the Pogba deal if we sell to Madrid)

We buy some quality left mid for around 25-30M

We use some of that leftover money to shore up our bench, and we'd still have money left over which we can simply put away for whatever the club wants.

I've said this before, if we were to abandon the 352 it would also mean benching great players who have had big part in our success like Asamoah, one of our terrific 3 defenders and one of Tevez and Llorente. Ya'll got to show me 2 amazing wingers and one great LB for this switch to be worthwhile. Because I'm not benching all of those guys for Nani and Menez.

Also Benching Bonucci and Asamoah doesn't strike me as being such an awful thing to do. If we're not willing to bench players who aren't World Class then we aren't getting anywhere soon

I agree though if we'd end up with Nani and Menez as starters it's not worth it.

Im not saying we should sell Pogba, but 70-80 million euros is tempting for our club I understand that. Funny thing that people always mentions that we can't buy quality players who can make us a CL contender. It's not easy to win CL, just look at Real Madrid.

Many of the players mentioned like Suarez,Ribery where did their clubs get them from? Suarez was bought from Ajax, Ribery from Marseille. How did we get this great team we have now ( we lack some things to have the potensial to win CL) we did smart and great moves on the market. Barzagli, Tevez, Pogba, Vidal, Pirlo just to name some.

We don't need to buy players like Ronaldo, Ribery we most create them ourself. We could have gotten them before their clubs, now we don't have a chance that's true. But in football new starts are coming up all the time, we most look at transfers like Trezeguet from Monaco, Zlatan from Ajax, young players with great potensial. We can get players like that ( it will cost in the current market) but with a sale like Pogba we could easily get players like that, or we could wait as our income will increase ( adidas sponsor, and other incomes) so hopefully soon we can invest 20-30 million euros on a player, especially when we have a great team, and we don't need to invest in 4-5 players every year as before.


My thoughts about the current squad is that we have a great team, no doubt about that. Still we lack some dimensions in our play, Why is that? We need some players with speed on the flanks who can create things and challenge the others team with pace, dribbling, skills. That's why I want 4-3-3. Just my opinion but that's how I see it. Every formations has some positive sides and some negative.

But im sure we can continue to grow as a team, if the right way is to sell Pogba or not, it's hard to predict.
