Why on earth would we use all of Pogbas sale for 2 more midfielders

We have no left back, no Wingers and no attacking midfielder. 2 CMs would be the definition of a failed mercato.

If there is a grain of truth in these rumours saying that PSG offers us 78m we will have enough money for classy winger, CM and Verratti.

If we want to use 433 or 352 we need 5 decent midfielders, not 3.

This means that we need to buy a leftback. if we convert asamoah as LB then we would need a CM of substantial quality.

From my point of view Conte doesn't think about Asamoah as a serious alternative in the central midfield. He isn't both-footed and he has been playing as CM so far only in emergency situations.

Both Rossi and Marrone aren't players ready for big games in Serie A/CI/CL. We have to takie into accout that Pirlo is getting old and won't have enough energy to play week in week out. That's why I think we need 5 decent midfielders, excluding Asamoah or Rossi (I don't believe Marrone will return to us soon).

we all saw how we were tired against Milan. however before that game we had that Turkish team and if we had an option like rossi/marrone we would have been able to rest some of our starting midfielders using asamoah and one of rossi/marrone. if we get a proper leftback we would have a lot more rotation just like Bayern have done this year. they have lahm, Martinez, sweinstiger, kroos,gotze and Pierre-Emile (youth products) in midfield and a constant rotation beween them and be ready for europian competition.


If Bayern have lahm, Martinez, sweinstiger, alcantara, kroos,gotze and Pierre-Emile in midfield we can easily match them with vidal pirlo pogba marchisio asamoah and one of rossi/marrone.

But why do think Asamoah is treated as a serious CM backup? There is no single proof that Conte thinks he can be good alternative to replace Pogba or Marchisio. On the contrary, we have seen Asamoah in the middle of the field only in emergency situations so far.

Yeah, I agree that's Strootman, Verratti, Pirlo, Marchisio and Vidal sounds like an overkill, but I still think that if we sold Pogba, we should take two new CM (starter and decent reserve player).

we should think of selling pogba after we win everything that there is to win. Then we can sell him for 70m+ and build a supersquad with the brightest talents at that time. for now, keep him in a 4-5m season contract and try to sign these damn wingers and a proper leftback. even if we get the likes of menez and cerci we would still be able to challenge in Europe and serie A because we have a world class midfield and defence. Look at Dortmund, they have been able to challenge in Europe because they played an effective attacking style of play. we should do the same even if we have an attack of Tevez llorente Cerci. And to be fair, the fact that we have the likes of vidal and pogba assisting attack it helps to compensate our lack of world class talent in attack.

Maybe we'd see Asa at CM more if he wasn't by far our best option at LWB

Conte clearly doesn't want to use Peluso or PDC, so Asa being in midfield weakens our left flank significantly
If we bring in Kolarov or Coentrao, Asa can and should be used in midfield. Why spend loads of money on another CM starter when we already have one. But yes, we do need a decent, cheap back up for rotation. Somebody who fits the bill of a Vidal back up.

We won't win everything there is to win without money, and we don't have money. We need to sell someone like Pogba or Vidal to purchase another superstar.

It would be sad, Pogba is a huge talent, but for the money that he is rumoured to go for I would wrap him in a bow myself.

Marca is saying that Real Madrid value Pogba at 60M and could use Di Maria or Coentrao in a deal.

My dream mercato would be Coentrao, Di Maria, Perayra/Rossi, (useful Giaccherini type players), and Menez.

Now that team can contend in Europe IMO.

We lose a bit of midfield depth, but overall we're a better team IMO.
