It's just too much to bare, to think of Verratti coming in here at the expense of Pogba. We would have a defensive liability and a midget in the middle of the park for the next 10 years.

I'd rather give Pogba 4-5M per season.
Haha. It'd be like Gio, but in the midfield. Now imagine a side with Verratti sending in long balls for Gio? :sergio:

Give me a couple wingers, switch to a different formation, get rid of the regista position.

Hopefully it happens this summer. Di Marzio says he think it will. :xfinger:

Agree with no more regista and some attacking wingers provided the two central midfielders are Pogba and Vidal. Pirlo is in poor form right now and we suffer from it.

Just on Verratti:
What exactly makes him a defensive liability? I mean I haven't seen a lot of him play outside the national team, which isn't very often, but he never struck me as awful defensively. I remember when people would mention him as Pirlo's replacement I would always think of it as weird since I thought of him as more of a defensive player, with no where near the creative tools that Pirlo has. My understanding is that Verratti is a solid passer, but his ability to put the ball on goal from range seems limited.

But when you look at his defensive stats, they seem ok.
He's average 2.7 tackles, 1.7 interceptions, 0.5 blocked shots.

Compared to other defensive midfielders it's relatively solid.

Now that being said, you clearly can't draw conclusions from stats alone and since my experience watching him is relatively limited, I wanted to ask those who say he is awful defensively to explain why he is so bad?

Also last thing:
If Juve buys Osvaldo for 20 million, I will lose it. There is no way he is worth that. For 20 million + funds from the proceeds of Giovinco/Vucinic you could probably buy Draxler or another talented young attacker.

Watch him closely, he is beaten as easily as Pirlo and his tackling skill leaves much to be desired. He is definitely a liability in that department. His physical stature definitely doesn't help either.

Keep in mind, he's also surrounded by stars in a league where the competition is a joke in comparison.

P.S Draxler isn't actually that special. And for the money they want, i'd rather not go anywhere near him.

I could be mistaken but didn't he also say we'd swap regista for trequartista? From 3-1-4-2 to 3-4-1-2. Could happen :xfinger:
