Funny thing is that we've been saving that money for years now. One would expect us to sign C.Ronaldo at this point.

We can't save anything because money is not there, but what we can do is restrict ourselves from getting further into debt, if players available on the market won't improve either our 1st team or aren't considered good prospects for the future. Players like Candreva that would cost a lot, but don't fall in either of the category.

Ever heard of leverage financing? I explained it few times and that is how we afford our purchases. The post you quoted, but chose only few words out of it, was referring to that. So instead of investing in various Candrevas (if there are no genuine opportunities atm) by getting further into debt, we might as well decide to wait for the next summer, when these might arise.
