I believe they're talking about reputation.

Depends.
Then the diffrence depends on the source, like plenty of times.

casillias, wins a shitload of "keeper of the year" awards, hence more then buffon.
Yet statistical analysts, and true unbiassed analysts that know gigi, rated him as the best ever goalkeeper.

Platini, wel he played in the feared serie a, but there has been a thing against serie a ever since the 60ties and catanaccio.
The good analysts, praised how insanely impactfull he was between '82-85. No player ever made such amazing impact.
Its what wins a man 3 ballon d'ors in a row, when it was still an actual price, handed out by experts.
What did the general italy hating public think ? not sure

Why did nedved won a ballon d'or in 2003, but not world player of the year ? simular

I agree with what you say, as a matter of fact. Mata for sale? Hello Madrid! I get you. Bayern are in a better position that we are, it's a fact. However when the management comes out and undersell themselves, it's like WTF! We don't need to hear from Marotta, Conte or Agnelli that such and such are better than us, we know it. So they should keep quiet and do what needs to be done to improve.
From a financial perspective we've done well, but that doesn't mean we should be pleased with it. The very least they could do is assert their superiority on the rest of Calcio the same damn way Bayern does it to the rest of the Bundesliga.
Well, i like this approach over the "we sign a star" one.

Cause it wont make teams increase their fee demands when we come around.

I was kinda irritating us beeing linked with stars, management telling we were interested, then outbid by everyone. at least we now know where we stand :p

So for you ,one day he goes from being a sack of shit to being the 2nd best AM in the league in the other ? Seems legit.

As for your question,Totti,Pjanic,Hernanes,Valero,Ljajic just off the top of my head.

Some of these names in the list might have not played at AM this season but they're way better than Diacunti is in that position.

Dint read your 2nd comment but he is not a necessary signing for shit's sake at this point !!
The only player in that list that played in a similar role to Diamanti is Totti.

No one has ever said Diamanti was a top priority but in your deluded head I guess you see other wise.

Good job, get your facts straight.

Anything over 12M for Vucinic, and the cash goes to funding Higuain/Jovetic/Tevez, we should definitely sell him.

Giovinco, Quag, and Matri don't have as much value in the market IMO. Vucinic is the only one we can sell and make some money.

Unless Milan buy Matri for 10M+. :D

Yes, and thats why its stupid to sell Vucinic.

As it stands,we are not a seller team.

We want 2 quality forwards with Llorente and higuain

But rotation happends, so we'll want to have player like vucinic around.

As edoardo says, if vucinic goes, a quality player needs to come in, and thats the problem.

We cannot get enough money out of vucinic, for an equivalent player. Dont give shit about "but the young player". They are young, you cant count on them. whilst vucinic isnt the most consistant, he immediatly has his value. and thats what you need.

Vucinic would have to be replaced by a player that would fulfil similar duties on the pitch, or assume that type of responsibility. Llorente Higuain Giovinco Matri and Quag would be a bit imbalances vis a vis Llorente Tevez Matri Quag Gio, if everything else remained the same.

selling vucinic for 12+ mill is a no brainer, don't care how good or bad he is.
what if he was really good though? I mean all of the time :D

Personally I'd prefer we kept him and sold all of Quag, Gio and Matri though. I think with top class strikers partnering him, we'd see a much better player in Mirko.
