It's quite simple what Marotta has to do. So if he doesn't do it we should kill him. Simple.
It's simple if we are satisfied with winning the Scudetto. If we want the CL than it's not simple at all. We cannot compete financially with Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern or all the Russian and Arab teams out there like Chelsea and Man City, so we have to be smarter than them. Marotta is doing a good job so far (Vidal, Lichtsteiner, Barzagli, Pirlo, Pogba) but he has to take it up a notch if we are to challenge for the CL. He is certainly no Moggi.

Or is incompetent when making transfers that are not practically done already
As we have seen he is quite good at turning players on to the idea of Juventus. So that part is done, so it must come down to the fact that he has the funds other clubs want for their players, but doesnt love Juventus enough to actually send in a check.

I don't expect us to automatically win the CL if we get another top forward, but it's simple in the fact that you would have to be blind to not see where the major problem in our squad is. There are plenty of top players available for transfer this mercato and we are not broke, so it shouldn't be too difficult for Beppe to get one :)

That is Conte and you know it, in the interviews players always said Conte conviced them.

Guess I am right then.
You are far from right, as Conte isn't even talking to the players in the early phase of agent talks and player communication. Conte talks with them after it's a certainty that we can get them from the club, but Marotta is a master at turning players on about Juve so they put pressure on the clubs and lower their price. I'll just presume you won't read this and continue thinking whatever is going on inside that bogan skull of yours.

Give some examples of players. You can't say stuff like that without giving evidence, unless you were there in the negotiations... were you? No didn't think so.

I read a few time players saying how Conte convinced them or whatever. Lichtsteiner is the one that comes to mind most.
