I also don't see the need to bring in so many players. Sorensen and Masi look like decent/promising prospects, and should be able to come back in two years, perhaps even next season in the case of Sorensen. Someone like Benatia for the defense, and we are set for years to come. Regarding the RB/RWB position, we seem to have that covered with both Licht and Isla (who will be awesome next year after taking part in a full preseason); Padoin is a decent backup as well. As for LB/LWB, we don't need any upgrades, unless they are truly significant, and not at the expense of strengthening other areas. Hence, Asamoah and Peluso are fine for now.
Regarding the midfield, we definitely need a Pirlo understudy, but it is not as much of a priority as strengthening our abysmal attack. Perhaps Pogba can mature into the vice Pirlo role (although offering different facets and aspects to that role). I don't see a point in spending close to 20 million, if not more, on someone like Verratti. Perhaps Modric on loan with an option to buy?

Marchisio, Vidal, Pogba, and Pirlo is one of the best mids around, so no need to tamper with something that s tried and tested, and offers certain guarantees. Oh, and a big fuck no to selling Vidal to funding any potential transfers. He has been massive/immense for us this season.
When it comes to the forward/strikers department, I'd suggest a complete overhaul and dispose of every one, but that isn't the way it works in real life. Vucinic can be a genius on his day, but he is too inconsistent to be a starter for us. Quag, Matri, and Gio are good for depth, but they are all bench options at best. Anelka, Bendtner, and the forgotten Iaquinta are all goners come the end of the season. In fact, I still don't understand why we brought in both Anelka and Bendtner seeing as they have both played a combined total of 90 minutes or something like that. In any case, a top quality SS is of tantamount importance, and I'd like to see us try for Suarez, Benzema, and Sanchez in that order.
In: Benzema/Sanchez, Muriel, Berardi, Poli (I guess this deal is as good as done), and Sorensen.
Out: Whoever Marotta can sell, with the exception of our star performers/core players of course.
