Diamanti would be a good squad player.

He's versatile, and has terrific work rate. Probably very hungry for a scudetto as well, which is important for next season, to get a couple of players in who haven't won it yet and who are at the peak of their game.

And would probably be a Pepe-replacement. It's sad to say this, but I really doubt that Pepe will return to the player he was last season after such a lengthy layoff.

If Conte decides to move to 4-3-3 then it makes sense to have 4 SS/Wingers...otherwise not sure.

Diamanti is a good player, no doubt about it. He is playing very well for his club, did good job for Italy in Poland and Ukraine last summer, Prandelli seems to like him... He would be very useful for us and add more options for Conte.

The thing that bothers me is that according to the media, we will try to sign him offering a player + cash, I am not sure who they have in mind, but obvious suspects shoud be Taider, Pasquato and Sorensen, who we half-own (if I am not mistaking, sorry if I do) and who already are an important part of Bologna squad. Our management seems to have plans for Gabbiadini so I dont believe he will be used as a bargaining chip in such kind of deals. There are a whole bunch of players, currently on loan to Serie A or B clubs that we dont exactly need who can and should be used in deals like that. If we have the opportunity to sign him on Marotta`s terms, I would be glad. Of course, that would mean some of our current strikers should leave, which is also not bad at all.

Balo is an incredible popular player.. Not realistic we could sign someone who could sell more shirts then Balotelli at Milan. Only Suarez or Benzema could potentially break it, looking at somehow realistic targets
