Porto would make us pay way too much. Dat club really knows how to sell. But damn they are good at scouting.

The players they buy aren't actually unknown jewels. Falcao was great for River Plate, Jackson Martines was also doing good in mexico. They are just willing to invest and take the chance.

He is like the hardest of all the deals... almost impossible, if not totally.

Vidal to Bayern for Suarez funds?

Juventus could sell Arturo Vidal to Bayern Munich in order to raise the €30m needed for Luis Suarez from Liverpool.

According to Tuttosport, the Bianconeri are considering a transfer merry-go-round over the summer.

Vidal has experience in the Bundesliga with Bayer Leverkusen, but joined Juve for €20m last season.

The Chilean midfielder is much-admired in Germany and Bayern Munich have repeatedly been linked with an offer for the 23-year-old.

Tuttosport suggest Juve could listen to those proposals because the €30m transfer fee would bring in enough money to coax striker Suarez away from Liverpool.

There is another side to the story, as Suarez’s agent is Pere Guardiola, the brother of future Bayern manager Pep Guardiola.

It would therefore be in his interests to see both deals go through.

As much as i would love to see suarez here... this deal makes zero sense.

As far as i know... the idea is to REINFORCE our already good team..... not trade one of our most precious and etsted asset for another good one.

Suarez is great but I dont want us to lose Vidal!
If we ever going to sell Vidal I hope it will be for much more than just 30M (I hope we wont sell him anyway)

I rather us to sell Quag,not sign Isla and splash our whole budget on Suarez than but three or four players with Vidal going out while we get Suarez or not lose Vidal and just sign four average players

I'm mexican and a fan of Morelia. I remember every transfer season Martinez was always a step away from joining Morelia, but for some reason it never happened even though Jaguares(Martinez's Mexican club) has the same owner as Morelia. They invested about 18m EU combined on Falcao, Lopez & Hulk.

Actually they've invested a lot on many of their transfers.Its just that they've been able to sell them for huge profits.Now Benfica are doing the same.

Good scouting ? Yeah maybe but they've still paid top buck for those players who were renowned in their respective leagues.

Just referring to some of their deals last summer :

13m euros on Danilo(He was one of the hot prospects in the Brasiliero).

10m euros on Alex Sandro(LB)

~7m euros on Mangala(standard price for someone coming from the Belgian League)

And many other transfers which they've actually invested good money in.I'm not denying that they've found success in making some cheap deals and have made huge profits as a result of that but they've also made transfers which've cost them good money for prospective players from other leagues.And plus they can afford to do such deals since they come from the Portuguese league and have found a lot of success in doing so.

I know that they spend money, what I dont understand is how that detracts from their scouting system? They are always competitive, despite offloading their star player(s) every summer.

There seems to be this notion that they find unknown jewels and stack up a competitive team which is not really the case.

Defour,Moutinho,Danilo,James Rodriguez,Alex Sandro etc all these players were under the radar of big clubs before they eventually made the move to Porto.Difference is bigger clubs were rather circumspect when it came to these unproven players whilst Porto could afford to take these risks.I'm not discrediting their scouting system but too much unworthy appraisal is being given to them in that regard.

Udinese's scouts on the other hand have found many unknown jewels and turned them into very good players infact and without actually spending much.There's a whole list of 'em.

Agreed 100%. That and the fact our lack of quality forward is obvious to pretty much everyone ever heard of Juve these days gives this forum some hope.
On the other hand if some of the rich clubs go after him there will be at least one cheap opportunity going on the market. If he goes to Real M, for example, I am not too confident Benzema would settle for a supporting cast role.

What do you Vidal/Suarez Lovers think of the rumours of selling Arturo to fund Suarez's move here? As I've read on VS.

Also we're looking into Hernanes, a player I must admit I like a lot.

So Suarez/Llorente front line?
Marchisio, Pirlo, Hernanes middle three?

Would we be losing out on that much in Vidal leaving but to secure Suarez and create a formidable frontline that we've been crying out for but not losing out too much in the middle? Well Vidal would be a massive loss don't get me wrong and I shall leave my tin hat down but Hernanes is a class player. Or would you rather us keep Vidal and search for another forward, the cheaper option as usual.

Vidal is worth as much as Suarez to me (in terms of the 'team') yet he is cheaper to employ. We'd actually lose out overall IMO especially considering that we'd also have to pay for Hernanes and his wages too.

We're talking an extra 20-30m over the course of the deals in extra cost. So, in real terms, we can by a forward for 20m ish and keep vidal.

Otherwise we're just swapping places.
