what does Bonucci contribute to our game that makes him an essential player? He has his long balls and other than that he just is a defender who is always caught out.
The Bayern game was probably the one which showed people how tactically limited Conte is.
Conte is not limited if anything he has been very adaptable changing 2 formations to make the best use of players he has at disposal. As I said 3 men defense was introduced because we lack proper LB and Bonucci takes pressure off Pirlo when the opponents mark him out of the game. I'm not too happy with this formation and I hope it will change next year I just applaud Conte for making us competitive again. The fact we are discussing QF defeat against Bayern instead of defeats against the likes of Siena is all to him.

Conte is limited enough to insist on 3-5-2 even when you're playing Bayern at home with a two goal margin defeat. Did Conte show tactical class yesterday? No. He insisted on the style of play and refuse to play more attacking. Taking absolutely no chances. Avoiding a 4-0 loss rather then trying to catch up on it.. Sitting back with the entire defense and midfield, only 3 players pressing Bayerns defense when behind....

In no way are Giovinco, Pepe and Vucinic close to the level of Bayerns' players. But don't fool yourself and believe Mandzukic is the best striker in the world. Coz that's sort of what you make him look like. And Ribery as the best winger along with Robben. No fkn way! They're good but not that good. It's no secret they have a better attack, but they too have a bigger attack. We should add a bunch of new attackers this summer. Starting with Llorente, we should add wingers of young age. Dribblers. Ball players.
I never said they are the best of the world. But they are definitely very good and perform in an extremely oiled machine. As in a tactical setup and formation which they have been using for years now. Every players fits in perfectly. Mandzukic for instance is exactly the kind of striker they need, harrassing every defender 90 minutes long, while holding the ball and allowing 3 midfielders to enter play.

We have been buying players for 4-2-4, then we played 4-3-3, now 3-5-2, let us not switch it back to a fourth formation please. We're almost set for 3-5-2/4-3-3. Let's keep it that way. For instance Bonucci & Pirlo (plus many more) would be wasted in 4-2-3-1.

In a 4-3-3 Pirlo can roam where every he would like because he has more freedom
Why would he have more freedom in a 4-3-3 ? He wouldn't. If anything, he has more freedom in a 3-5-2 when being protected by 3 CBs.

But we should efinitely start thinking about life after Pirlo. Don't see us getting Verratti anytime soon.

How would you guys feel on buying Isco and making him a starter?

Isco - Llorente - Gio/Vuc (4-3-3)

Isco or Sanchez who would you prefer?

We are not set for a 3-5-2 we need a proper lwb, and an ss and for a 4-3-3 we need a lb, and 2 wingers or cf.

I would prefer Sanchez because isnt ISco more of attacking midfielder/winger while sanchez is a winger/ss

Watch the games where we played a 4-3-3 and then watch the games with a 3-5-2. One example was aganist Torino Pirlo was moving left and right rather than staying centered

Yesterday we could have played 433, 424 or whatever other formation you can think of and nothing would have changed. Bayern is simply better team right now. They have been making a team for years while we are at the beginning of a cycle. People need to be patient as this team will grow. It only needs time.

Definitively I must argue id bench Pirlo... When his contract runs out in 2014 we will be without him and what's the next step? Pogba to replace him and play regista? Sign up a new regista ála Verratti? Turn away from this 90's regista style and play modern football? The only reason we play this 3-5-2 is, as both you and i know, because none can or would bench Pirlo, and Conte is trying to figure how you get the best out of a world class midfielder. Right? But when Pirlo does not deliver, he's rubbish. The entire team is rubbish. This is why I say we turn our focus on the future and change the formation already. Let's not start over in 2014 when we fail to sign Verratti again... Do it now. This summer. Your argument with changing formation/players makes everything unstabile is just not true. Mandzukic was signed in the summer - he benched Gomez! Mandzukic fits the profile of a Bayern striker, but he's adapted and become key player in just 9 months! It's pretty fucking obvious to me that a lot of our current players are'nt just as familiar with the 3-5-2 as you'd like them to be !

I like you, but I wish I could hate you.
Because I said that for Marchisio, or because I like Bale? Either way, it's just wrong to hate somebody just because he has his own opinion.

Okay then, thoughts on Loïc Rémy?

He's very quick and can slot in as a striker and right winger. Apparently there is a relegation clause of £6m in his contract, but he already has quite a large salary.
I watched him a lot in Marseille and he was one of the players that I really liked. He's dynamic and can change the game out of nothing.

For that price it'd be a great transfer really.

Would you guys say it's definite that Suarez is leaving Liverpool if the right price is offered? I don't see what is there for him besides being the star player and having admiration from the fans.
