I'd say Cavani is still top of my list, 'though our management will never ever splash the required 50-60 million on one player... That and one hell of a LWB for the next summer mercato

I think we should get the 'good as we are'(aka Galliani's) route until the end of the year, unless:

a\ a major injury occurs, leaving us without a vital player (think Pirlo)
b\ we receive more than a reasonable offer for some of our players or just a reasonable one for our bench-warmers

If we manage to sell properly this winter and sign Llorente for free next summer there is no reason why we shouldn't be chasing only the top players from then on.

I wouldn't be so sure. All the clubs are fired by the FFP rules and if UEFA intervenes decisively nobody would be willing to go wild with wages anymore. A club would be willing to pay if they are certain what a player brings to the table on a consistent basis. No bigger teams would get Llorente as a starter.

Well yeah exactly. I caught highlights of the Dortmund game this week and Hummels lost possession near the penalty to create a chance for Ajax.

Neither are really a stranger to mistakes.
