I haven't seen Cardozo much. What I know is he is about to be 30, has a letal left foot, is tall and slow as fuck.

For 12M + Ziegler, I'd do it. No more than that. Than make an agreement with Llorente, and sign a precontract in january to get him on a free next year. Sell Matri, give Fiorentina Quagliarella and bring in Jovetic in January when he'll be fed up with losing.

:)

Cardozo would be an excellent alternative, especially if the price is right.

The guy can play, and does well in europe.

I thought Juve wre linked with him a few weeks ago, if I remember correctly

Borriello is in a league of his:pado:

But the championship has already started and the transfer wndow is about to close, am afraid that we may end up with him...

I know that after all this Dzeko and Jovetic hyped talk, many may see that as a heavy compromise, (and objectvely it should be for Juve fans) but its Marotta we are talking about...
Unfortunately he is not competent enough to lure a top class forward and instead of ending up with a Boriello again, we should at least get a Cardozo...
Yes. Same Marotta who signed Licht, Vidal, Vucinic, Pogba, Asamoah and Isla.

Gotta be honest though. Benfica wants Ziegler only on a loan. They've rejected 12M from Fenerbahce for Cardozo. He is definitely not leaving them for less than 15M. I don't know.

It's his second year at the big stage. First year since our success (won Serie A).

All those you named cost 40mln+ (bar Dzeko). You didn't see us spend that much on any target so far, rightfully so, as we had other spots to fill.
well he spend 40mil on 2 subs didnt he?
And what do you mean about spending it on one target, you think that our board does not trust our transfer manager enough, to let him invest 30-40mil on one player??

Who?

It's not about quality. You must understand that Asamoah was a must because we can't rely on 3 MC players when we're playing 3-5-2/4-3-3.

but we dont have 3 CMs only, though...
Pogba, Maronne, Padoin and if needed Isla and Giaccherini would be enough.

Anyways, point is that if we can afford 20mil for a sub, we can afford 30mil for a starter!
Unless our board considering our transfer director too incompetent to be trusted with such ammounts...

At any case Marotta is surclassed at this level, even if our club can afford it, he cannot make it happen, he simply lacks the experience to negociate such a transfer, since we have accepted this compromise for one more year, we should also accept its direct results...

:sergio:

Pogba and Marrone are kids, they will get less time. Asamoah will play a lot, even as a LW while Isla... you just don't know who that guy is obviously.

The most of the times i ve seen Isla playing was as CM, he can be at least as good there, as Asamoah if for LWB and Maronne as CB.

I merely say that for the 3 places we already had 3 starters, 3 subs and 2-4 more decent options.
Such a thing does not applies in the CB for ex
We had merely starters, 2 quick fixes and a youngster, instead of investing there, we only added a free agent.

If we can afford the extra 20mil for a luxury sub, then we can afford 30mil for a starter, dont you agree?
And with 30mil cash in an official bid, we could have signed one of those...

Open up the Wall Street Journal today and see where the Cron$ is trading against other major currencies.
:D

I was actually hoping to get a response from Cron, detailing how he came up with the figure of 40 million for 2 subs. Think it would be good for everyone to get some insight into finances & economics, what with the current state of the world.

We never paid 20m in cash, and Asamoah is not substitute
