Some good news:

- Adebayor and Tottenham are very close to a deal - he will cut wages to join them permanently. They'll pay something like 7 or 8M to City.

- Aguero will be out for only a month

- De Rossi will reject City

The consequences:

Regarding Llorente, now Tottenham is very likely to be out of the game for him. He probably won't join any La Liga team - fans would kill him -,Barca doesn't have any money left for this transfer window after signing Song and Real will bring Modric and are set at the striker department. No Italian team have money apart from Juve. Bayern has already got Mandzukic and will spend a load of money for Martinez. United is set with Van Persie, Arenal got Giroud and Wenger said they won't get anyone else for attack (also Podolski). Chelsea spent a lot of money on Oscar and Hazard, and if they get another striker it will be Moses. Liverpool got Borini and have Suarez.

Summing it up, the only other team I see that could offer something for Llorente is City, but they don't need him and are after Jovetic. And if they get Llorente (unlikely), that will free Dzeko. That being said, I think if Llorente leaves Bilbao he's joining Juve.

City should sign Jovetic or someone else for attack, and now they won't spend a shit load on De Rossi. They shouldn't try to keep Dzeko cause Aguero is fine. He will end up being available then.

So I think this will be a happy ending for us. Either Llorente or Dzeko are coming. I'm more confident now, things are going to work fine for us. A 3rd gk, Peluso and one between Llorente and Dzeko. Maybe get rid of Matri/Quag, but that may not even happen.

So we're good.

Juve ready to close for Peluso..€2m for loan for a further €4m option to buy.

Gabbiadiani apparently has conducted a medical in Turin and will then leave for Bologna where he will remain on loan.

Seriously, I know a lot of people on here love Marotta, but these 2-3 million being wasted left, right, and center on 2-3 meaningless signings could have been saved for a more meaningful and important/significant transfer, right?

On whom did we spend such figures this season?

The money spent on the likes of Gabbiadini, and potentially Peluso, not to mention the huge number of youngsters we have acquired. I'm sure we could've saved 5-6 million, but then it's baffling that a club of Juve's size and magnitude could possibly be 5-6 million short. That's pittance for us, isn't it? :boh:

Pardon me, but are you just complaining for the sake of complaining here again?

Haven't you been complaining heavily in the past on the lack of ambition the club is showing on youth? Giabbiadini will be signed for a low fee, potentially having a very good return on investment. Peluso hasn't been signed yet (as well), and even if I don't agree with his acquisition, I'm sure we won't go bankrupt by getting him. Pointless, but hardly affective on our budget.

I know we aren't going to go bankrupt, but a million here and there adds up. Marotta should've prioritized better.
If we had signed a striker before we signed Asamoah and Isla, I'm sure you wouldn't have bashed him as well for not giving enough attention to our depth in midfield.
