Yeah but the point is they wont be breaking into the first team anytime soon ,maybe could take about 2-3 years or more. Its good to invest in youth but at the same time i would like if the board address the priorities of the first team as well..Nobody knows how much budget is allotted for transfers this season

Well, there you go, dude. No one knows how much of a budget Juve have. For that matter, no one knows how much of a budget ANY team has to spend.

Keep in mind that one of Marotta and Paratici's Modus Operandi when they came on board was to rebuild the youth system. Marotta has said as much on several occasions, even bemoaning the abyssmal record of Juve players coming in through the youth system and the lack of investing in young players.

Well provided Gabbiadiani deal goes through and IF that Bonatini valuation is accurate..
4+3.8+~4+0.75+5=~18m..Not far from the 20m valuation..

But you are also talking about 5 young players that are rated in various circles to varying degrees.

It's not as if they spent 5 million on some kid from the south side of Chicago or something like that

BTW, the whole Matri\Quag being sold thing...is it still going on? Selling 'em both would make getting Jojo+/Dzeko much much easier not to mention the huge quality boost.

I don't see the transfers of Boakye, Gabbiadini and Leali as being similar to those in the Primavera. Those are young players of a high current level, which is why you pay more.

The point is we could've used all that Money and strenghthen our starting 11, get a WC CF easily.

But i think it's a question of budget allocation, hopefully some of the kid we signed will turn out great.

Dont get me wrong guys ,i am definitely not saying its a bad thing..I like what the board are doing with young players..

but i'd seriously be dissapointed to hear ,when we are pursuing a particular transfer target and we arent able to clubs demands and when our board comes back and says 'oh we were priced out from that deal' only to make some stopgap purchases for low costs like Pazzini for example..This is clearly happening in our pursuit of a quality striker or will happen i'd assume..

Funnily enough ,we have made that good part of that youth investment in the attack department(i mean thats where the big deals happen)..One can only hope some youth we've invested on turns out to be good for us..

In 3-4 years we'll look back at this and be in awe at how Marotta acquire these WC players, the Boakye's, Bouy's, Appelt's, Pogba's, etc. Watch one or two turn into absolute monsters.

I get a bit bored of the accumulative transfer budget argument tbh, we don't operate as a club that spends €30m on a player because they have €30m to spend. If we hadn't spent money on those young players I'm pretty sure it would have no impact on us buying 'a WC striker'. Marotta and the club's line will still be the same, only in the market for high profile players if they are available for the right price.

As long as Conte and the staff buy into the idea of integrating young players into the team then what we are doing is excellent in regards to identifying young players.

Agreed Jay..Not asking the board to splash 30m on one player right away.

But i hate it when i hear things like "Marotta wont go above 20m for Jovetic for example" (even though he's still attainable when you add a few million more to meet their demands) ,because such is the market inflation these days that you got to pay up if you want quality(even if he's young) and its likely that you are not always 'guaranteed' of market oppurtunities like the Vidal deal of last year for example(Although i have always said we could've pushed early for Giroud who was available for a paltry 15m)..I mean i would've never imagined a 20 year old Ramirez for example who has hardly played a couple decent seasons to be valued at 20m +..

From Twitter: "La Gazetta del Mezzogiorno claims Borussia Dortmund have told Juventus and Chelsea that Lewandowski can leave for £17m."

Honestly why dont we put a bid for him ?
