Nicollin mocks 'Kojak' Galliani!
By Football Italia staff

Montpellier President Louis Nicollin has again blasted Milan over their Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa bid, even referring to Adriano Galliani as 'Kojak’!

The Rossoneri have reportedly made a €6m offer for defender Yanga-Mbiwa, but the French club rejected it out of hand, even though he only has a year left to run on his contract.

“They think they’re really smart at Milan. They just sold a defender for €45m and would like to sign one equally as good for a pittance,” slammed Nicollin on French television Canal+.

“If they were to come to me with an offer of €25-30m, then I might think about selling the lad, but from what I understand they want to spend no more than €5-6m.

“Let them focus on making their little movies. We don’t care. If a suitable offer does not arrive, then Yanga-Mbiwa will stay.”

In a clear reference to bald-headed Milan Vice-President Galliani, Nicollin was particularly scathing.

“Kojak hasn’t phoned me. It’s laughable for them to claim talks are in progress.”

Palermo President Maurizio Zamparini warns “Roma have to improve their offer” for Federico Balzaretti to €5m after the left-back chose them ahead of Napoli and Milan.

This week the Sicilians had confirmed Napoli provided the highest bid for 31-year-old Balzaretti, but it is now reported the player would prefer an Olimpico switch instead.

“The interest from Roma is the most intense,” President Zamparini told Radio Radio.

Recently Juventus also stepped forward, but we’ll see what happens. Federico told me if he had to choose a city to live in, then Rome would be fantastic.

“However, Roma have to improve their offer and at least match that of Napoli. That means reaching €5m cash with no player exchanges involved.

“We can take several options into consideration, such as a paid loan or a permanent transfer with payments spread out.”

Zamparini also confirmed that Milan have stepped forward, hoping for a cheap swoop like the one that brought Antonio Nocerino to San Siro last summer for €500,000.

“Milan have come forward and want a Nocerino-style deal, but there’s no chance. Balzaretti is not Nocerino.”

Lol. Balzaretti is not Nocerino. I liked that.

Personally, I'd swap Balzaretti and PdC in a straight, no cash deal and buy Armero as well. Armero, Balzeretti is a helluva pairing.
