Don't know so much about this one, but a minor improvement is still an improvement. It seems the major improvements cost too much and are out of our reach. Let's say we have 0 % chance of getting either Higuain, Cavani, RVP, Suarez etc. (which seems to be the case). Would you take Mandzukic, knowing this?
Yes because he's a Croat. But objectively, I wouldn't really waste time on selling one of Quag and Matri in order to replace them with Mandzukic. Too much to do for potentially very little gain or no gain at all. I know that Conte just loves players with Mangio's characteristics so there is no problem from me if we decide to get rid of Quag and replace him with Mandzukic. It just leaves too many question marks because even if Mandzukic can on paper offer a bit more than our current Italian strikers, that can be easily nullified with the fact that our Italians know our system, they are used to it, and they know the league, language etc.

Can't Mandzukic play right winger too? :)
He can. The same way Matri played left winger when he, Pepe and Vucinic were switching positions during the match or the way Iaquinta was played on the right wing at WC 2006. He's a striker, no need to waste him on the wing. He doesn't have Vucinic's or Seba's technique to make it as an attacking winger.

Ok, thanks! :) If he were able to play as a winger as well, the signing would make even more sense, but if he's a natural striker, there's no reason to waste him on the wing. :)

we bought buffon for 54.200.000 euros
we bought nedved for 41.200.000 euros
we bought thuram for 36.500.000 euros

we used to break the bank allmost every year.. why not now?
city bought dzeko for 37.000.000 euros... if we bid 30.000.000 now.. i know they will accept the cash...
he could easily be our striker for years to come

Because our financial state is still fragile and we have a wage structure.

I back the Martin Olsson transfer... He's a good option for a position where it's hard to find top quality and Olsson might come relatively cheap. Transfermarkt values him at 3.5m €.
5m € and he's ours.

how cute, people still think we will make a big money signing for the CF position.
Indeed.

De Ceglie is better.

Signing Destro would with all certainty mean goodbye to Matri.. And with the departures of our well-known deadwood I believe we should be able to gather something in the region of 25-35m € for a top player. The sitaution is tough as we can't afford the City strikers due to their wages and signing RvP doesn't seem ideal IMO. I think he's too old for our project here..

The criteria of signing a new top level CF is therefore the following;
- 26 years or younger.
- Affordable wages.
- High workrate due to Contes tactics.
- Technically gifted due to Contes tactics.
- A Minimum of 20 goals a season in either of the past two seasons.
- No prima donnas (Balotelli etc)

Those points eliminates quite a lot of options for top class strikers.

:
Looking at this points , not sure where you got the 26 years or younger part or the minimum 20 goals a season. If this was the case, we would have clearly have to exclude RVP, Suarez,Torres and even Destro.

How fickle you fuckers are. Less than a week ago, everyone was fapping to a new star forward signing, and all of a sudden you have resigned yourselves to accepting Destro as that man? Really?

How the fuck did we have the money two weeks ago, but not now?  Why was it possible not so long ago, but is now impossible?

I will only believe what Mark has to say from now on. All you other fuckers are just speculating :p

Reports has that Isla, Asamoah and Destro have been requested by the coach him self. Some here blames Marotta for spending on those players , would it still be the same knowing Conte wants them ?

The sale of Zidane that year might have had something to do with that.

Some are fickle, but the case can be made that some others knew all along that it was almost financially impossible to do this.

But then again, nobody here even knows what Juve's budget is going to be. It would certainly be foolish for the board and/or management to reveal such numbers to the public
