I'd gladly sacrifice Gio, if it meant the acquisition of Suarez/Jovetic. Even if we didn't sacrifice one of them, then we should get Suarez/Jovetic, simply because of the huge leap in quality, and marketing potential it could lend us.

I'm also sure Conte can make any formation involving 2 or 3 of Vuci, Gio, and Suarez/JoJo work. It definitely beats having an underwhelming strike force, and also allows us to focus all our efforts on a quality cf next summer (Cavani/Higuain). Ideally, we'd get Cavani/Higuain/RVP this summer, and one of JoJo/Suarez next year. I firmly believe we will be unstoppable then.

Matri, Quag, Borriello, and Gio are all dispensable; the only one I'd keep regardless is Vucinic (unless someone offers us 25 Million for him). Selling Matri, Elia, Krasic, Melo, and some of the other deadwood will generate at least 40 Million Euros, and free up wages as well. Enough for a top striker? You do the math ;)

What? Barca have basically signed Jordi Alba, they are just waiting for after the euros, and trolling Valencia by changing price range frequently, since Alba's contract runs out next summer, they be trolling them hard (also stole two youth products from valencia, they be maaaad).

0% chances of that happening, Giovinco is staying. This ain't fifa 12.

  Fuck you man :p

Ok then. Sell Matri, fuck off Borriello and Esti, dispose of Elia, Krasic, and Melo. Surely enough money raised for a Top Player and some wages freed up :klin: ;)
Higuain and Cavani are out of our reach, Van Persie won't come here, Dzeko's wages are astronomical (unless he's willing to take a pay cut), etc.

Not many options here, and don't say Suarez or Jovetic, we need a CF, not more SSs.

Can't say anything else then true, I think van persie was actually the player we went for, but since his bad euro's I think the management doubt if he can handle the pressure etc.

Mandzukic has said yes to Juventus. He supports Juventus.
His agent: "On monday we will talk with Wolfsburg."

Hmm, why would we go after Mangio in our current situation  He's faster, more lethal and able to play alone up front the way neither of Matri or Quag could, but that's just a minor improvement over what we have. He's the guy you get in your team when you already have Cavani, Giovinco and Vucinic and you only need to complete that attacking line up. Basically, an improved version of Iaquinta.

Don't know so much about this one, but a minor improvement is still an improvement. It seems the major improvements cost too much and are out of our reach. Let's say we have 0 % chance of getting either Higuain, Cavani, RVP, Suarez etc. (which seems to be the case). Would you take Mandzukic, knowing this?

:agree: I will say Falcao is out of our reach as well. that's where the second tier of CF comes with the likes of Lewadowski,Huntelaar, Mandzukic, Damiao, Soldado,Llorente and Adebayor.

Signing Destro would with all certainty mean goodbye to Matri.. And with the departures of our well-known deadwood I believe we should be able to gather something in the region of 25-35m € for a top player. The sitaution is tough as we can't afford the City strikers due to their wages and signing RvP doesn't seem ideal IMO. I think he's too old for our project here..

The criteria of signing a new top level CF is therefore the following;
- 26 years or younger.
- Affordable wages.
- High workrate due to Contes tactics.
- Technically gifted due to Contes tactics.
- A Minimum of 20 goals a season in either of the past two seasons.
- No prima donnas (Balotelli etc)

Those points eliminates quite a lot of options for top class strikers. Remember, we're not looking for talent or prospects, we're looking for a "big name"..

Robert Lewandowski is the best fit IMO..
