Corinthians are offering 10m for Melo apparently.
thats not going to happen. im not a huge fan of them, but they have 2 brazil nt dm (paulinho and ralf).
even if they end up selling one of those two I dont see them getting much more then 10m for them, and they probably dont own 100% of them

You're kidding me, right?!

And your line up with Pepe, but no Vucinic... :sergio:
Kjaer:
1. he is VERY cheap. 2. he is very young. 3. he is serie a proven(unlike all the brazilians we're linked with) 4. He is proven against WC players like we saw against Holland he can mark the best (comes handy in CL - he lacks consistency bu we all know he can be VERY good on the day) 5. We are not looking for a WC starter CB. 6. We're looking for a cheap backup who accepts the task.

4-3-3 with Vucinic AND Jovetic is not working I found out. The SS can play a little to the left but in Contes tactics you need at least one of the three up front to have great workrate. If you play 4-3-3 you can't play Vucinic-Lewandowski-Jovetic!

Vucinic is a fantastic player but he too is lazy and he too can't play all the games next year. Vucinic will be great for serie a while I ask for greater class and workrate in CL - Jovetic + Pepe is my choice.. (It does say Champions League lineup, now doesn't it?)

Everything isnt about fielding the best players on paper.. That is NOT why were champions of Italy!!

We've already talked about this a few pages back.. I for one belive in Kjaer. You guys are missing a lot of factors when judging this transfer. You guys would go for a Thiago Silva kind of player, right? a 50 m € player to our backup bench :sergio: (let us get this straight: Barzagli, Bonucci and Chiellini are som of the best CBs in the world and we cannot replace either of them IMO - so we're looking for a fkn backup, allright!?)

And for the record; Kjaer had little help in defense, playing for Roma. Roma practically play with 2 CBs and 2 wingbacks. Just how much do you expect from a CB when you play that offensively? (its not fkn Barca)

i would certanly not go for thiago silva , i would choose one from astori , acerbi , ogbonna with the third less of an option since his cost is a little bit high . I am not saying kjaer did bad because roma got a lot of goals , i am saying it because i have seen him make personal mistakes .

We need someone to step in chiello or barzagli shoes, when they will be injured suspended and we want to deploy a 3-5-2
Apparently Italy does not have such an option, since the nt faces right now this situation and has preferred to use a cm/dm instead.
Kjaer is most welcomed and a left hand caceres after him.

Ogbonna er ikke en skid bedre.. Kjær har et talent han ikke skal spilde på at lege Pique!!
Well i accept the fact that i don't understand a word that is said here , but Kjaer and Pique can't be in the same sentence doesn't matter wich language it is

caceres can play in barzagli's shoes (althrough we still have to see with what results) , now that we have isla he will never play as a rwb with isla lischt and pepe who can play there so he will be the sub of the defenders

Being realistic and considering that Napoli won't sell Cavani to a rival, that Liverpool won't sell Suarez to any team, that Higuain is not leaving Madrid and that Nani is staying in Manchester, and that Juve is looking for Destro/Gabbiadini, which means Borriello and Matri are leaving, a good (and realistic) mercato would be:

In:

Leali (4M)
Average 25-28yrs Italian CB - 5M
Caceres (7M)
Pogba (free)
Asamoah + Isla (15M)
Verratti (12M - loan to Pescara)
Giovinco (12M)
Destro/Gabbiadini (7M)
RVP (25M)

Total spent: 87M

Out:

Manninger (free)
Grosso (free)
Ziegler (reportedly 4M)
Motta (loan/free)
Melo (8M)
Krasic (7M)
Elia (loan with option to buy - 1M + 7M)
Estigarribia (free)
Iaquinta (free)
Pazienza (2M)
Martinez (free/loan)
ADP (free)
Borriello (free)
Matri (12M - Russia/Napoli/Milan)

Total income: 34M

Total: - 53M (amount apparently available at the moment)

First Team (3-5-2):

Buffon; Bonucci, Barzagli, Chellini; Isla, Pirlo, Vidal, Marchisio, De Ceglie; Vucinic, Van Persie

Backup team (4-3-3)

Storari; Litch, average Italian, Caceres, Padoin; Marrone, Asamoah, Giaccherini; Pepe, Giovinco, Destro/Gabbiadini.

There is also Quagliarella.

As a result, I think this squad would be good enough to fight for Serie A and at least get to CL quarter finals.

There would be some weaknesses, like a starting LW (I dont trust De Ceglie), better CB backups, Bonucci still in the starting team (even though he improved, he's still not completely reliable). In the next season, you would add Pogba and Verratti to slow down Pirlo's huge resposibility.

But this would be a very very good mercato indeed... a good squad, with young valuable players.. and I think this isn't far from becoming true =)
