Well, basically 99% of all transfer rumors have no chance of happening, but that doesn't stop people from talking about the possibility. Hell, people talked about Cavani all summer and we all knew that the Cavani deal was never going to happen. The thing that's so good about transfer rumors is that you get to imagine how a specific player might do in your club. Oh, and this thread is named "wishlist...", so I can't see why I shouldn't talk about it here. And it's not like I'm just naming Balotelli out of nowhere. He's not doing well in City right now and for that reason there are a lot of transfer rumors about Balo now.
Why not just talk about Ronaldo and Messi, in that case.

Why not just talk about Ronaldo and Messi, in that case.
Because there might actually be a chance of Balo changing club.
Because Balo might actually be available for a price we're able to pay.
Because Balo is Italian and knows a lot of the players on our team and knows how they play.
Because we desperately need a striker, not a winger or a false 9.
Because I like to talk about possible transfers.
Because it's annoying you that I talk about this transfer.
Because it gives me an excuse to write "because" a lot.

Tbh I'm not too fond about the Llorente deal. 5m per year for a guy with a one year break? (If he comes it'll be in the summer). He'd be looking for his form for ages while earning more than Pirlo, Chiellini, Marchisio and Vucinic? Another question is if he ever succeeds here.

To be more clear I'm not against such salary for our new forward and I don't expect us to sign a "top forward" but so far we were building our team on different conditions. I'd rather save the money for the summer than taking such a risk. We cannot afford "top class" forwards but I'm sure we'll stick to Vucinic - Gio - Quag while getting rid of Bendtner (will be easy) and probably Matri to replace him by someone better. One could be replaced by talented youngster (Immobile?) while the other by someone promising for about 15-20m.

As for Balo he'd be great in terms of quality on the pitch but on the other hand he could be a disaster in locker room. Dzeko would suit us better and his price won't be higher than Balotelli's.

Regarding Lllorente, I don't think 5 mio is too much. First of all, we're simply not getting a good striker if we're not willing to pay that kind of money. Furthermore, when we're getting him ad cheap as we are, it's not a catastrophe at all to give him a little more in wages than you otherwise normally would. :) I'm much more concerned about giving Iaquinta 3 mio per year for doing nothing at all. :)

Well if we get Llorente for free and pay him 5M a year for 2 years. If he flops, I'm sure we could still sell him for 10M or so and recoup whatever we paid.

one year break? what do you mean. he's been one of the best forwards in spain since 09/10.

fair enough that you're not too fond of him, but are what the alternatives? We dont have a single forward that's better than him nor have we been able to sign one since i cant remember when.

dzeko so far isnt an alternative and if he becomes one, the competition for his signature will be tough.

llorente is fairly cheap and an upgrade. cant really see what points to him not being a good signing.

I meant he doesn't play at all and it seems he won't get any chance till the next summer. This season is over for him and that does no good for him.

Regarding Dzeko all you said is true.

Him taking time to regain form is certainly a consideration if Juve sign Llorente in January.

Not convinced it would be an issue if he was signed in the summer. If he got a proper pre-season in, I wouldn't expect him to have any problems - beyond a normal settling in period with moving to a new country.

That's my point. I'm not saying he's bad it's just that if he comes here he'll have difficulties with regaining his form as he doesn't play at all. I believe he'd be very useful to us if he came in the summer as you said.

He's obviously kind of forward we lack the most: strong, well build with good finishing. My worry is his form which is rather bad considering how much he'd be paid here.
