I've always rated Samuel.
Yep.. And to clarify, It's not criticizing Marotta. Spending a good money on a cb would be the last thing most of us want for this mercato.. getting an experienced cb on a free is actually a very good move even from your most hated rivals, but unfortunately for us fans that player happened to be Lucio.

It's just hard to picture that tranny with waxed eyebrows in our shirt. It has little to do with him being a merda player or even his qualities as a defender (tho he's been making some retarded mistakes and unnecessary forward runs as of late).

nail on the head, an unbeaten defence with an excellent goalrecord should not be the focus when you have scoring issues

a free expirienced stand in for barzagli is excellent

Cesar would go back to Brasil or at best get a few years as a starting goalie in a team with lower expectations. He isn't a bad goalie tbh, but there is no way to make a buck out of him ...
If Lucio adapts to the whole squad member, not a star(ter) player then I don't see too much negatives in this deal. Still there is something fishy about this perception of the smart Marotta and the stupid inter GMs. Either those players were on an astronomical salaries and a very poorly distributed bonus system or there was some kind of informal agreement behind the scenes. :dule: Marotta isn't half as bad as I though him to be at first, but that is even beyond him. A move like that whispers 'Moggi on crack' all around ... unless Inter had an angle as well. For instance that torino defender might have one less suitor now...
Inter seems in ruins though ... maybe they've had some unpleasant preliminary talks with UEFA's FFP dept for the next season? :boh: Especially after Farsopoli I was hating on them for some time, but now I feel a bit guilty and inhumane. It's like having this little gipsy chained in your basement and you are slapping him on a regular basis, but then it suddenly dies and you are sad... (kidding :p ) TBH I am Quite disappointed of what is happening to them and other italian teams in general. Bronzetti might be right that the next 10 years Calcio will be all about finishing only behind Juventus for other teams. And as much as I am a fan - that ain't good even for us.

forlan is further in decline then del piero, if we let alex go, there is no point in signing this grandpa on a free transfer

also cronically injured, the carreer ending final injury is just a tackle away

lmao Cesar and Forlan have to go too? suuucks.

I don't like Lucio though. The only good thing I can see coming from this is him scoring on Inter or tackling some of their players.

How many of you think Sneijder will be sold too?
