34 is nothing for a CB. there is no fee and it´s not like we are going to pay him 4mio per season and give him a 5 year contract...

Lucio was WC for a long time... the guy was a beast till 2yrs ago. He's a fuckin intense CB. Then his form dropped together with the whole team.

Any similarities?

I mean, Pirlo is what, 1 yr, older?

To me it looks like a fair business.

Alves was bought not long ago for 22M... his wages are probably very high.. no fucking way we should give Pepe up for this guy. Alves is not faster than Lucio. If I'd have to choose between them, I'd pick Lucio for sure.

That's Lucio main problem: lack of agility/speed. But in a 3 men defense, he should be OK.

Looks like fair business to me. Acerbi had an agreement with Milan; Astori is being sold for more than 10M to Russia; Ranocchia is not available to Juve. How to improve in the position spending little money? Lucio was the perfect option.

Next year we have to take a more careful look at CBs. But right now, Barza is still in top form and Bonucci is improving a lot.

I guess negative reactions are due to the fact he comes from Inter and in the pitch he treats opposite players as enemies.

Now he's ours... as a footballer, taking into account the cost, this was goooood business.

Susceptible to mistakes, I'd say.

Someone made a point in his transfer thread about Conte rejuvenating all but one of our defender's careers. Barzagli and Bonucci are a Euro Championship final central pairing. I mean he's not looked great but Inter have gone through Rafa, Leonardo, Gasperini, Ranieri and Stramaccioni. A bit of consistency and a good coach might be able to level him out for a year or two. It's a fair argument, but I'm not that keen.

I agree that he would be the Barzagli backup here. The three man defense could provide a bit of extra cover.

Edit: A lot of players have been considered cunts before moving to Juve :D A player being a bit of a prick is good sometimes.

And the fact he is not Mats Hummels.
You both are wrong.. He's a shitty character and pretty much a faggot. That's all.
I don't think you'd see the same reactions if it was Samuel for example.
