Can anyone tell me about Giroud from Montepellier? Media calls him the new Trezeguet and reports of our interest.

He's having a monster season. Don't really agree with comparing him to Trezeguet, he is definitely not as deadly as Trezeguet in terms of finishing, nor is his movement as good as Trez, he is technically better though, and is very good at holding the ball up. He had a good start with Montpellier in his first season with them last year, and he's exploded this year. He's kind of a late bloomer as he wasn't really known before last season. This season he has been without doubt the best striker in the Ligue, really deadly with that left foot of his.

I don't know much about Giroud, but anyone clinical should be welcomed. We're leaders in the chance creation and shots per match.

Back to Montpellier, isn't Belhanda rather good?

Giroud is their best player.

I strongly disagree, while Giroud is having an amazing season, i have to say imo Belhanda is the best player in Montpellier. He's the engine, the playmaker and the one that makes things tick for them. Giroud is a good player, and will probably move to a decent club next summer or sometime in the future, but Belhanda is a real talent, i am sure he will play for a big club in the near future if he continues developing like he has.

For me, along with Nene and Hazard, Belhanda has been without doubt one of the top 3 performers in the Ligue this season.
