The problem was never what positions we have bought, its who we bought and kept buying that was the problem. We wouldn't have had to buy so many CMs & SS's if they had got it right the first time.
Examples: Motta, Amauri, Poulsen, Toni, IQ, etc. Had we bought Xabi instead of Poulsen, Licht earlier on instead of Motta, we may be whisteling a different tune altogether.
There is a degree of truth in that, but our problem is a bit more complicated than that.
There are a number of certain patterns we have followed to reach the path we did.
Our priorities was Ital-Juve over competitive Juve.
Quantity > quality.
Spectacle over results.
Sort terms delusional promises and wild risks over steady but sure steps of building up a competitive team.
The names we choose respected those parameters, the reasons they have failed were obvious.
We took the winning formula Juve had for decades and reverted it, just by knowing and respecting our history, we could have avoided all those mistakes.
Just by learning from the mistakes, we have failed to avoid, we could have found our way back 3-4 years sooner.
We were just lucky with Conte, he was yet another wild bet, but luckily for us, the man knows what he is doing, he is the main reason we have better results now, not that Quaq, Melo and Diego were worse than Vucinic, Vidal and Pepe.
Of course by avoiding the mistakes we made on the names, we would have done better, obviously, thats an optimal situation.
But even for a management as stupid as ours, who cant just get everything right, after so many gambles, one is destined to work at decent way.
By systematically spending all our cash on the same 2 positions and systematically neglecting to invest on the 3 positions we are suffering the most, its is practically impossible for a mentally challenged management, like we have, to get it right.
They players we got were underperforming because of the coaches, now they overpefrorm.
The management have won the jackbot with Conte. But this cant justify their mistakes.
Those ppl are still there, and are still very dangerous! They are still ready to commit the same mistakes!
Because they never followed reasoning, when they were investing 25mil on a player that were selling for 10 at the next year, only to replace him with yet another 25mil player and then again sell him out or even worse loan him until his contract expires.
The stupidity has to stop!
A 25mil player, is still better than a 5mil player, even at his worst.
Sharing the money throughout our team, relatively balanced, would avoid the balanced we were facing.
See this as the manual, of "how to build a team for the completely mentally retarded FC heritages"...
simple things, simple but logical things, you ve spent 250 mil on SSs and CMs, now try to spend 10-20-30mil on LB and LM
We might need extra depth of a 6 CM for the 2 places we have, get loan Cadevra like player, a free Piazenza like or more Marrone like youngsters.
Since the starters are working, the subs are more than enough, try to mess with that balance, just because Montolivo took a call for the NT, only because Fiorentina still has some prestige in her...
Instead of wasting time and resources over there, focus at selling Amauri, before his contract expires and club loses all the 25mil we paid to get him.
Try to do smth about our defense, as its obvious that the last Italian hope, Bonucci, just cannot cope with the task.
Think about we it is better to use a versatile CM, to do the job of a LM and reconsider the choices you made on this department, that doesnt seem to work as intended.
Simple, small and logical steps.
Do that firsts and if you have cash to spare, buy 3 Montolivos spend 1 week in the Alps with Tevez, trying to convince him not to quit football, i dont mind, just dont prioritize the stupidities, before our obvious needs.
And for the love of Moggi, not for the 13th consecutive time!
