Dont think Masherano is an option but aren`t we looking for a LW?
Conte is going to put a 4-4-2 4-2-4 formation which mean two CM Pirlo and Vidal one RW Krasic and one LW
Mascherano is not a LW therefore even if we get him (and we won`t) we will have 3 players fighting for 2 places while none of them will accept the bench and we still have our LW problem which make no sense
Unless Conte decides to change his formation to 4-3-3 which is unlikely at this point Mascherano as good as he is would be a pointless signing

Moussa Sissoko is interested in Roma move and we aren't interested in him... This is the kind of players we should be attracting, even if they don't fit into our current formation. Him and M'Villa are the future midfield of france and imho are playing in a league that is not much worse than seria A, if its worse at all. His contract runs 2013, so his price would be lower in this transfer window and I kind of get the feeling he would add more to Juve than let's say Pazienza.
Especially if we have a 3 man midfield - he is a very dynamic player...
M'Villa could be the next Mascherano and given that we have almost no chane on Masch - M'Villa would come cheaper and would be a player that could give something to this team in the next 10 years or so. Yes, he is not at the same level yet, but we don't need a world class DMF, if we are just trying to reach CL spot in this battered down Seria A...
