@ Ken: I got banned for insulting the board, other members, delusional pathetic fans, and generally for speaking the truth and seeing shit for what it really is! If i refuse to maintain a sense of optimism after 2 very underwhelming and disappointing seasons, then excuse me. I choose to come here, because I can, and I want to. Contrary to what you may think, should we put in decent performances and finish in the top 3, after yet another average mercato by our "much heralded" DS, then I will be made to eat humble pie. I see no reason to praise Marotta, or hail his efforts, when he is simply doing his job. Has he gotten us decent players? Perhaps so. Has he sold the junk at our disposal? Hardly. Does he warrant a gold star for his efforts so far? I hardly think so. Until then, I will continue to complain because there is nothing to be happy about with this current Juventus.

I make no standards, but people being pesimistic from May untiol the end of August while not one match has been played, just make no sense to me
I'll make it easy on myself and not read posts of the pessimists anymore.
If by the end of May, the team failed, then I will, without any hesitations, say you guys were right, if it is the other way round, I hope you guys can do the same.

The way I see it is as follows:

1) A novice coach
2) A clueless, penny pinching Sporting Director
3) Too much garbage, particularly on the bench
4) No difference makers, and a few aging players
5) No cover for CB as of yet
6) LW and LB are glaring weaknesses
7) Milan, Inter, and potentially even Napoli are still ahead of us, rendering it extremely difficult to grab that final CL spot
8) We have made decent acquisitions, but nothing spectacular. Too many ifs and buts, inconsistent players, untested individuals, and no "Champions" as promised

It's just that, in our current situation, we should be happy about, let's call them, 'smaller' successes. I'm not happy at all about the situation we're in, but I realise that some things have changed post-2006. There is no need to bitch about everything and then repeat it in every single thread, that's the main thing that gets to me, and others apparently, as you've found out plenty of times since you're here.

Some do just follow others' opinions I agree, but just think about it... When a lot of people agree on certain things, including people who you should know by now know their stuff, does it mean they're simply being mindless sheep following someone, or could it be that by common sense they've come to the same / similar conclusion? why dont you guys like loans with a fixed option,i find that its a very good kind of business,cos we can see how good the player is and either take the fixed option or not,but Marotta should be smarter when it comes on the loan fee,he gives them so high up front,which makes really hard to not fully pay the fixed future fee..

Apart from Aquilani, it almost certainly meant that we had to make the purchase of the player, so we ended up with Motta and are probably keeping him for at least another 4 months, where he might be able to grace the football pitch.

Apparently the point I'm trying to make isn't really coming across.

For example: We're linked with a player, any player at all, decent, good or even great. Everybody just gives their 2 cents and then certain people post 5 times a day how we'll sign Gilardino instead.

Meh, I'm not going to bother anymore and I don't intend to fill this whole thread with some random discussion. The last pages have been full of non-transfer related stuff.. we should get back to business.

People are sharing their opinions ready to be debated on. Obviously if anyone considers he is on a higher level of knowledge, of understanding or of thought - he shouldn't be bothered to comment, defend or even explain his positions. The pessimism around some fans is not because it wasn't snowing in June, its because there is a consistent record of failure on the side of our General Manager. People are bashing Secco for the losses he incurred during his reign, but there is a believe some of the actions taken by Marotta are with the back-thought of highlighting Secco's failures and brushing aside his own. Melo may not be worth 25 mils, but in any given case he is 3 times the player Martinez is (probably even if you play him as an SS), yet out of those two we've sold Melo. Then there is the never-ending talk from Marotta, which even a ten year old kid would have corrected by now. You can't lie to your own fans. You can't show the world the inabilities of your own management team and the team you are working for. Even if they are there and mind you there is a big "IF".
I don't know which of the signatures he made this summer is hailed as a miracle, but I am quite sure every normal manager would have signed those players at a comparable price. He might have made 3-4 mils in the Vidal deal, but that is the maximum. So while there are plenty of reasons for pessimism, there are only a few for being optimistic. And while you are saying there is no reason to be unhappy, I am saying there is actually no reason for the opposite. We should be happy we drew with Betis ? Because we certainly shouldn't be happy with our performance. Or we should be happy Juve won against a team of 4 dentists and a few road-workers? After all, they were highly motivated and in their best condition...
And yeah if we qualify for the CL with this team I am ready to admit Marotta is a genius and etc. and most of all I didn't see this one coming, but if we achieve another glorious 5th-7th place finish would you admit he is an idiot?

I didn't see your comments, would be nice to read them again and tbh just saying that Elia could be a great player for Juventus, while he is wiping the bench with his ass in Hamburg is, let's say very patriotic at best. Again being targeted by his coach, despite his 'enormous quality' is also quite strange, and it's more tuned in support of the comments he made. Anyway I've read at least 10 times more posts from you in support of Elia, rather than Juventus and this is my general impression. Could be wrong and as I said, I would love to see your response to his words again, but there is also the probability that I am right and there is a method behind your madness for my 'quiet and great' comment. Either way, being in the lowland gives you a considerable advantage over the control of your flaming - you should use it, I would if I could.
