Release clause?

Regarding Aguero.

We had a chance Before Man shityy came to the picture.
We didn't to pay ATM, wich we found excessif as confirmed by our President who said we'll sign great players on our own terms.
So we backed out.
Fuck Aguero, we had no chance with him. But the big problem is why did we give up on everything and started looking for bargains? There is plenty of quality players out there that could raise the level of our team without wanting 12 million in salary.

Lets look at the bright side, which quality players do you guys think will have problems getting playing time and would raise the level of our team?

Tevez
Affelay
Kaka
Balotelli
Higuain
L. Diarra
Keita
Alex
Valencia

Get to work Marotta!

We must have agreed terms with the player too. He has a sound mind, hypothetically speaking, so he was always going to wait for other offers to come after Coppa.

We don't have a single player, other than DP, that can hold the ball for an extended period of time and take players on.

Krasic = kick and chase and attempt at cross

Vucinic can do it at times, but no where near DP's class

I don't think Real will let Higuain go. I'd love to have him here though, obviously.

Lass and Alex will improve our team.

We've spent 75 million so far. For 75 million we could have passed on Quag, Pepe, Matri and Licht and we could have gotten ourselves Mata(25m), Falcao(25m)Vucinic(15m) and Vidal(10.5). 75 million right there. And if we really are planning to spend more money on Vargas then we could use that money to sign Licht too. See how that team got so much better for the same amount of money? Our priorities are fucked up and now we're risking missing out on the Champions League yet again.
75 million if that line of credit is for those signing, which to be fair, I do. But firstly, mata has not been sold so you don't know his price, Falcao I think would also have been higher unless he has a release clause I hear 40m , regardless, you've add nothing to the defence while leaving us with, Amauri,Iaquinta,Delpie,Falcao even if we could have gotten falcao which I doubt we could have for less than 30, which means you want to spend 60 Million on a LW and a CF and another 25 on Vucinic and Vidal which I reckon is about 85 Million? So in theory, Lugano and Vargas (however you feel about him)

A fractured team with 2 new wc players would not fare any better IMO than a solid team with 10/11 first team players being very good (I consider Very Good to mean, not world class, but above mid-table standard) If we signed Lugano and Player Chiello at LB that would mean 3 very good defenders and 1 world class defender infront of Buffon with the rest being very good, Vidal having the potential to be world class;

Current XI given LW and CB: 3 world class starters, 8 Very good players
Your XI given increased cost: 5 world class starters 3 Shit defenders,I old/shit striker, all the rest very good, no Forward depth.

Personal preference, I prefer the former.

Aguero set the EPL on fire in a 20 minute stint - that's why you pay big money for such players - Vucinic isn't half the player Aguero is.
Idiot, read what king ale said :

We must have agreed terms with the player too. He has a sound mind, hypothetically speaking, so he was always going to wait for other offers to come after Coppa.

Its all so easy "oh cry cry cry marotta fucked up cry cry cry"

yeah right, aguero knew he had half europe following him,why the fuck should he move immediatly to the first interested party that came along ?

He Could just aswel dragged it all summer, waiting for another team to come

you cant force a player to decide NOW, they decide when its good enough, they sign the contract.

when are people finally gonna understand this

also stop believing we agreed personal therms because tuttosport or simular webside reported it.

I knew this would happen. Aguero would score and people would jump at Marotta.

If Marotta had the Aguero money, where are they? If we were "interested" in both Dzeko & Aguero, why haven't we spent the €35 mill on another player?

People need to wake the fuck up.

He shouldn't come out taking saying we would sign Aguero and players of his calibre. He set the expectations high and done nothing to meet those expectations.

He went for the player with a good offer, he would have been our top earner. But aguero choose to wait for the bigger money. he indeed deliberatly held us off hoping a much richer team would come.
When city came, he immediatly signed.

To get him to join, we would had to take massive financial risks. its good marotta didnt went for that.

Also, why shoot marotta ? its agnelli/elkann that promised to fund pastore and aguero, but they invested like a third of what was needed to complete both transfers, bash them.

People saying stop the Marotta bashing are clearly forgetting the days when we had players such as Zidane, Canna, Thuram, Nedved, Trez, Camo etc.. That's the level we have to return to.. And by not pushing for this kind of deal (Aguero) we wont return to the glory ever. And please stop saying "we have no money"!!!

When he mentioned high calibre players, he knew it meant he'd be spending 30m plus easy. My question is, where is the remainder of the money? Why has it not been used to buy world class? The massively useless squad we have will not reach UCL, and we will go through this clean out again next season - new coach, new average players, new project, new lies

We litterally went for Aguero, and were willing to invest a minimum of 30m, that was obvious. It didnt happen because Aguero went for a more ambitious club/more ambitious league. There is nothing to wake up from regarding that.

That we arent trying to invest that big of a sum on someone else, is obviously because they were earmarking those kinda sums for player of Aguero's caliber, or just him really.

Dzeko, we simply chose Krasic over him, that too was fairly obvious.

Well, perhaps you should wait till the mercato is over before asking where the reminder of the money is

licht was one of the best 3 rightbacks in serie a. for juve, he was probably the best

vidal was the best CM from the bundesliga, bayeren was butthurt that we stole him, means he was pretty high regarded.

vucinic will prove himself.

Not sure why you call them average. probably because your brain is average so it cant understand we have no chance to sign world class

Exactly where's the money we were willing to spend on Agiero. I remember marotta saying That Vuci won't exclude a top player.
I came to think that all that was maybe a marketing move to pump season ticket buys.
