Problem is we have the money!!!

Weve spent 35 mill on Vucinic,Vidal and Lichsteiner..and 36+ mill on Pepe,Quaq,Matri and Motta

Add in their salaries and those of Pirlo,Ziegler and Pazienza and weve thrown away enough to sign Aguero and 2 other good players

Money is not an excuse in this case

Its the same ol quantity over quality conundrum
You know Agüero is earning €12m per season, twice as much as Buffon? What will happen if you do it your way is thus; We'd spend all summer chasing a player who won't join a 7th placed Juventus, then end up missing out on 3-4 good players like Matri, Lichtsteiner, Vidal, Quagliarella etc, and end up panic buying what's left for really extortionate prices, increased moaning about the board, mediocre team, rinse and repeat. The buys like Agüero are for the CL season, and that is at a push with the money around in football. We have added more quality this summer, simple. It's not Agüero, cry me a river.

So why did Marotta promise a quality player that's on Aguero's level?
He said we were looking to buy players of a level of Agüero, Rossi, etc. In his eyes Vucinic was a good alternative, call it penny pinching or whatever. The proof will be in the pudding. We had all these tears last year with Quagliarella and Matri.

:lol2: What a smart man. Aguero is one class above Mirko.

I love Vucinic, I was never hiding that. But he promised much more than that, so it was just a false hope from him.

Pepe, Matri, Quag and Motta all cost almost 40 million. I'd trade all of those guys for Aguero and I wouldn't think about our bench for a second. Fuck it, I'd even let Amauri or Iaquinta stick around as bench players. We need quality, not quantity. When are they finally going to realize that?

Sure he is, who said Vucinic was as good? Look at it like this; if Vucinic has an 8/10 season and scores 15-18 goals then €15m is a steal. But only with a good supporting cast alongside him. With Agüero there would be less supporting cast than Vucinic has got, he'd need a great season.

Aguero cost ca 42% of the price our stadium cost :sergio:

Football's becoming ridiculous. That Piazon kid wanted to be paid more than senior players in our starting XI.

These FFP rules better fix this.

Leo Messi would struggle to have an impact on this Team minus Licht,Pirlo even Ziegler because that would mean Motta/Grygera and PDC/Chiello with Barzagli in the centre with no passer in the Midfield.

People need to cop the fuck on that we NEEDED to fill LB,RB,CB,CM,LW and CF in this Mercato due to the cack one last season. Guess what, 6 is a bigger number than 3. So we buy Aguero being supported by fucking Melo!? Hazard being protected along the flank by Zedenk cacking Grygera!? Iaquinta recieving Krasic crosses and expected to play on twos with Kun!?

Honestly, wake the fuck up, if we get very good players in all those positions, minus Ziegler, that's a fucking outstanding job. This 9 months ago you'd have wanked yourselves raw at the prospect of these players.

12m a year! Look, twelve million a year. We never had a chance to sign him.

This "we must have sealed the deal before the Coppa America" talk is also nonsensical. Atletico were never going to let him go before waiting for other offers.

We've spent 75 million so far. For 75 million we could have passed on Quag, Pepe, Matri and Licht and we could have gotten ourselves Mata(25m), Falcao(25m)Vucinic(15m) and Vidal(10.5). 75 million right there. And if we really are planning to spend more money on Vargas then we could use that money to sign Licht too. See how that team got so much better for the same amount of money? Our priorities are fucked up and now we're risking missing out on the Champions League yet again.
