i realize we need some more signings, but why are you guys willing to part with quag? our season went to the toilet after he got injured and hes done well at whatever team hes played for in the past 4 years. i know we have only one competition this year, but what happens next year when we have champions league (hopefully) we need depth in our team but also quality in that depth. quag needs to stay.

How much we spend acquiring players has almost nothing to do with our ability to get the player to agree on personal terms. If man shitty, barca, real (and the list goes on) can offer extremely higher wages than we can, then add in the tax systems in Spain and England then you can see why those countries are more attractive. Then throw in the fact that Italy has only 3 CL spots and that goes against Serie A as a player has less chance of playing in the CL, which in turn means less money in Serie A and you see that Italian football is in a vicious cycle that unless some major overhaul happens is heading straight for disaster.

I'm not saying that it's all doom and gloom yet but it's headed that way is something isn't done about it...

Yes all very good points. However, would you rather live in Turin or Manchester? Quality of life also needs to be considered.

If Juve can reach champions league after this season, I have no doubt it will be far easier for us to attract bigger name players just like how Milan and Inter have managed to do in the recent past.

I just wish the European ranking systems worked on Champions League results....Italy would still have 4 spots.....Italian teams just don't turn up for Europa league.

Falcao is too expensive at the moment and I believe we have enough quality up front if the rest of them team is above average. Instead of paying €30M+ for him we could buy a very good LW...Mata/Hazard/Ribery etc.

OUT: Amauri, Iaquinta, Grosso, Grygera, Almiron, Motta.
IN: Alex, Gago/Fernando/Aquilani/CM/DM, LW (Mata/Hazard/ " etc).

Vargas will be a vast improvement but I believe even without CL football we can do better unless we're short on cash.
