Ok, just for you Ahmed.

Buffon
Lichtsteiner-Bonucci-Chiellini-Ziegler
Pirlo-M'Vila
Krasic-Giovinco-Vargas
Matri
Better?
I am pretty sure Pirlo cannot play in a midfield of 2, unless one of the wingers is a Camoranesi type of player and the other a Nedved type i.e. players who would help out in defense as well.
With the above formation, my guess would be that the better teams in serie A would go thru it like knife thru butter.

I think Conte would have to use a 3-men mid also because Juve's defense, as it is, no longer sports the likes of Montero, Ferrara, Cannavaro, etc and will need extra cover from the midfield.
These formations with advanced wingers and whatnot may work fine in Serie B but in Serie A against the likes of Milan, Inter, Napoli etc, it could well prove to be a total disaster, especially when Juve lacks players with the characteristics of Camo and Nedved.

True. I would like Conte to use a 4-3-3 but well, I don't know what to think these days.

Vargas perhaps will have to work harder defensively, he can run up and down for 90 mins.

Just imagine Pirlo with only one CM/DM partner against all the counterattacking teams in Serie A.

Combined with Bonucci's 1-v-1 skills (or lack thereof).

We're gonna be in for a record number of goals conceded.

I am not sure Vargas is a player who could make a difference in games vs Milan, Inter and the likes, especially if they up the tempo. That formation above would be bullied off the field, I think ... just don't see it being able to dominate the midfield battle.

certainly, that's why as you also said earlier I would not leave Andrea with just one guy in CMF.

My low expectations hasn't changed regarding the current transfer market. We are being pimped around by other teams, and it disgusting to see. Just leave Serie A alone with it's wacko presidents that want to bend us over when dealing with them, and look at the talent pool in Ligue 1, Eredivisie, Easter Europe, and South America. The best way to build a team when you don't have enough cash to work with is to find players at young age. We can't compete with the likes of Man City, Chelsea, Real Madrid, Inter, Barca when it comes to transfer fees, so the management better start working on scouting players that would be able of making a difference in the future.

young players cannot be expected to propel you back into CL contention.

even if we do go down that route, the fans are restless, we don't want to wait any more.

Moggi:

Lichtsteiner is a player I like but Ziegler and Pazienza are two bench players who can't be starters in a competitive team.

Marchisio should be kept because he can be a good sub in a competitive team. Krasic too. De Ceglie on the other hand can be sold without much thinking.
