The current squad looks a bit stronger.

The real difference will come down to Conte.

Can he get the mentality of the squad right, so that they go out and play with intensity every week, instead of only doing it in big games and switching off and dropping points against lesser sides?
Agree.
This will be huge factor.

it really dosnet look that much of a difference (the way it is described), but de ceglie and quag both had seriouse inj last year and was therfor not available to the team. Would be more right to name grosse as lb for 2010/11. i consider ceglie and ziegler a nice upgrade from him:)

i think the overall upgrade in significant.

we have good forwards and good depth in that department. we dont want a repet of last years disaster when quag got injuried.

It's a better team this year. No doubt.. Still lacking the big man signing, but what really counts this year, as Red said, is how Conte does and how good he is at getting the players to perform even against small teams.

What if Lichtsteiner and Vidal get serious injuries?

Exactly.

Even last season our squad was good enough for a top 4 finish, but the mentality of the team was the main reason why we finished 7th.

With a far better squad this year and the right mentality, a top 3 finish is very possible.
