Currently watching AC Milan pre season game against Swedish team Malmö FF. I'd prefer Grosso over Taiwo as LB 10/10. Without Van Bommel or Pirlo distributing the ball Milan is looking rather clueless. I'm hoping for a long term injury on Van Bommel this season.

I am, I have never really seen him before or at least payed any attention to him. The times he was seen today he was either misplaced, hitting the ball to row z or passing the ball to the opposing team. He's worse than Motta - for real. Of course this is only a pree season game and he will probably step up his game when necessary.

When Bommel entered the pitch Milan became tons better but I'm curious how they will play this season. They looked scattered and without Bommel they continuously lost possession rather easily and there were no linkage from defense to offense whatsoever.

Italian teams are just going to get worse in Europe. Prandelli is the only coach in Italy who has any idea what's going on. Without a ball playing midfield, you will look terrible and be hoping for luck.

So Inter's CL win was just luck?

Neither Motta or Cambiasso are ball-players.
