I am not fully disagreeing with the above but the same is also true for many transfers in the summer too - the terms of a deal are dictated by a number of circumstantial factors, pertinent to that deal in particular.

You can overpay in the summer and the winter, just like you can make a great deal in either window too - there is no law/fact that would enforce overpaying on every single transfer in the winter, as opposed to the summer, for the sake of it being a winter transfer.
All in all, what I am saying is that words like "fact" should be used a lot more carefully.

you don't have to really :)
Yes, clubs overpay in winter as opposed to the summer for the sake of it being a winter transfer ( mid season, emergency signing, very little time ). And other clubs take advantage of that/don't wanna risk not finding an alternative.

If you think clubs treat both windows the same, then I can't help you.

In the summer of 2010, Milan would have had to pay to get van Bommel, they got him for free in the winter; Cassano would have cost us 15 mil in that same summer, we got him for 2.5 mil in the winter.

Again, I am just saying that words like "fact" should be used a lot more carefully and less freely - what you say, is true for some transfers, but not true for others, which means it's not true for ALL transfers, which means it is NOT a fact.

Van was asked to leave for fighting with Van gaal and it was literally his last few months in the club, Bayern almost never sell their good players and they milk them to their last years. Van was milked for all his worth.
Cassano was unwanted and his fight was all over the press, he was frozen on the bench.

I'll change fact to "mostly" then.

that's what I meant when I mentioned "circumstances" earlier

Why is everyone talking about us not being able to gather up money? I mean, why is everyone sucking the sustainable development dick? There are a few agents of Marotta here with "overpaid" , "blown us out of the water" and other less convincing justifications for the failure of Aguero's transfer. "Whatever we bid, Manchester City will overbid ..." Yeah, sure so there in fact are NO FFP regulations, right?
First there could be contractual agreements between his agent+him and another institution , just like the one Figo had with Perez, before he signed, for Real Madrid. If a manager is smart, he convinces a player to a mutually binding contract satisfying all parties and then proceeds to negotiate with a club or starts speaking about it. If a manager is not that smart, he fails and then some people justify his failure. Aguero is overpaid, but if he scores 20 next season and benches Tevez he is too expensive anyway... :sergio:
Now we are back on the wingers and it seems most of the people around the club have no idea if in fact the winger has to be playing with his outside or inside leg as preferred. He might be cutting inside, but then Krasic isn't ... Our forward line seem to be taller as well, now that Vucinic is here. Lets hope the management or someone in the club has a clue about that, but I highly doubt it since there doesn't seem to be a main target(not that we will get it with Marotta, anyway). So we are browsing FM for LW players and if we get online we might meet Marotta and Conte , win a few games against them... But thats normal, they are doing the best they can! They all are and we've finished 7th two years in a row with NO major investments whatsoever. But all are doing their best and we shouldn't blame them! People not to blame:
-Marotta
-Motta
-Martinez
-Pepe
...

this may be off topic, but romas former goalie julio segrio said he refused a big money transfer to PSG and chose lecce because he wanted to stay in italy. Those are the types of players we need in Serie A

no cause obertan is actually shit. barnetta is more useful and better than pepe to say the least.
Must be at least a 20 million player as well then... Sign him up! We can't afford Hazard, Mata or Nani. They would be like 30 millions a piece...
===============
Pepe + Barnetta > 1 of Hazard, Mata or Nani ???
Let's just sing the song of Juve not overpaying and being unable to keep up with the market makers. Hail Marotta and he'll halla back. :drill:
Juventus must be the only team that is buying players for a higher price than selling them, but that is also a strategy to confuse the entire market. Lets hope in the example given, others should follow.

look we are not going to sign mata, nani, hazard this summer, we are in no financial position to. you gotta stop thinking that we're building a team to win the league this season, cause we're not, we're in no financial capacity to, and neither is it our primary target, it is CL spot, and anything more is a bonus, if all goes well, next season we will look to players like mata and hazard perhaps, but not now! anyone who is a upgrade to the players we had last season are welcomed, at a reasonable cost, i wish people would stop f*cking dreaming and for once have a sense of realism in their thinking

I have one small problem with this building project. In 3 years all the players Juve purchased will be old. Now I know Nani, Mata, Augero aren't possible but this team yet balanced and many decent buys will cost Juve to create a new base in 3 years.

Also, to knock Beppe of buying high and selling low youhave to cut him a little slack. It is only his second summer Mercato and he still is cleaning up Secco's mess (almost gone though)
