i'd say i consider messi/pedro/villa attackers.
Pedro by no means is a striker, he's a winger and he does alot of tracking back when he plays. Thinking of it, Pedro would be perfect for this Juve and it seems that he fallen out in the picking list of Guardiola, now he's like 3rd choice behind Sanchez and that new guy Cuenca.

So Cheese & Red, who would you recommend for the Pepe role on the team to be consider a upgrade? Good Offensively & Tracking back to help?
On top of my head. Di Maria/ Pedro / Hamsik ( I think he can play in Pepe's place)

Thank you, Same thing i tried to say for Jovetic, No team plays with 3 attackers upfront, not Barca, not RM... If we want to replace Pepe, we should look for a true winger.
I don't believe that. David Villa, Messi, Pedro/Sanchez, they all play as attackers. If we were to fix our back line and make it solid, by removing Bonucci and signing someone like Hummels and having a back line consisting of Chiellini - Hummels - Barzagli - Lichtsteiner I think we can play with 3 out and out attackers.

Vucinic also tries to track back from time to time. I think it could work against small teams, but not against good teams and especially in Europe :xfinger: That would leave Vidal and Marchi to cover both wings and the MF, that's a lot of work even if they are both excellent.
Jovetic plays his best as a SS and i think he can play as LW in 3 man attacks, but i just don't see Conte playing both him and Vucinic at the same time, that's will be sucidal againt good teams .
We won The CL with three attackers :p

It is not impossible to play with 3 attackers, especially when one is Jovetic who runs alot. Bayern plays with Ribery, Robben, Gomez, Muller sometimes FFS.

Ribery or Nani. :D

Most good options I can think of play in Germany, but struggle to think of many who'd be realistic.

Schurrle from Leverkusen, maybe.

No not a striker.but he is a player made to play the 4-3-3.I can't really imagine him play in a 4-4-2 or any other system for that matter.
unless it's a 4-5-1 which is a defensive 4-3-3.

Even without the help of pepe in defense i'm sure a team can cope with 8 of their players behind the ball. Especially when it's not bonucci and co. but some guys like Hummels or some other defenders you highly rate.
Marchisio or Vidal could go forward and help but would still track back.

I'm just speculating here.

Only Gomez is an Attacker in that group, The others are winger and Muller is a versatile player who can play anywhere and his workrate is unmatched.

Other obvious answer is to replace Pirlo, when you need to, with someone with more defensive range but can also pass decently.

Please don't tell me Ribery, Robben, Muller can do more defensively than Jovetic.

Why not?

Those guys all have better engines than Jovetic.

Jovetic, therefore, may be able to that defensive work, but unlike Robben, Ribery and Muller, his attacking play would suffer significantly due to the extra workload
