Wages are definitely going up. But people seem to think we just add another 25-30 mil between Pogba and Eriksen, no sweat. Soon we’ll pass both Madrid and Barca in wage bill too if that’s the case. The way we can afford such players if by stocking the bench with young, high potential players on lowish wages. Not having a bench full of 28+ year olds on 6+ mil/year net.
A lot of that is the new tax law. A lot of that is preparing for post Ronaldo. Also we are about to ditch 15-20 in wages without the need for replacement.

We must take Kai Havertz before he became the next De Bruyne and impossible to get

Not been that impressed with him. Has a nice touch and is skilled but has a lot to do to go up to the level that his asking price deserves. Not saying that he can't but there have been a lot of hyped German attacking mids who have shown a lot early on then not been able to step up.

Since this is about transfers, could we also talk about the transfers of the backroom staffs?

we need to get rid of every fitness and physio, and then replace them with CR7 entourage.

watch higgy grow a six pack and Ramsey play five games consecutively.

Exclusive: Not only Pogba; Juventus in talks with Raiola for two more players

12 January at 17:40
The relationship between Juventus and Mino Raiola remains important for both parties when the transfer windows come around. As always, there is Paul Pogba, who the Bianconeri will try for as long as it's possible. And then? With Mino Raiola, there are always many options.

The agent is well-aware that Juventus are a good side for all the talents he manages, and many of the opportunities come from the Netherlands. Raiola, being Dutch-Italian, is very active in the country and has many big prospects in his stable.

As revealed by Calciomercato.com, one of these opportunities is Ryan Gravenberch, Ajax's new rising star, who has been on Juve's radar for over a year. However, in recent weeks, the Bianconeri have also shifted their attention to another player.

Calvin Stengs, AZ Alkmaar's left-winger, who has 9 nine goals and 11 assists so far this season. His valuation is growing game after game, and since he has a contract with the Dutch side until 2023, Juventus could use Raiola's help in the negotiations.

Stengs is a fine talent, but who isnt in Eredivisie... Also he plays on the right of a front three with Boadu the striker and Idrissi the left winger. Not that is important, but his preferred position on the field is very similar to Kulusevski..

Is Boadu any good?
I like him a lot, but its hard and early to judge, Alkmaar has an exciting young team and their trident has some class, their two young mids also.

To be fair the one that impressed me the most so far is Idrissi, he seems ready to go to bigger club, but hes also the oldest, 22 I think, both Stengs and Boadu need to stay for at least another season and benefit from playing week in week out in a goal friendly league like Eredivisie. Still 18, Boadu scores/poaches for fun, definitely has a talant, perhaps a move this summer to Ajax for example would be massive for him and help him explode big time.

When one considers the Mongollan transfer wc prInter made it should qualify as a shining example of what not to do for young directors. Lost Zaniolo, paid a lot of cash and then loaned mongollan back to Cagliari to finish his career in peace and sunshine, while they are still paying the lion's share of his wages. Come to think of it maybe the whole thing was a strategy for future transfers. I mean you have to be mad to refuse a transfer to prInter if this is how they treat their flops.

Still trying to piece together how Zaniolo even tore his ACL in that play. There didnt seem to be any unnatural movement of his knee, no hyperextension. He was just running and got impeded then BANG..ACL torn..:(

He tore his ACL and meniscus and maybe his collateral too. In slow motion, he looked to have taken a knock to the side of the knee from De Ligt while it was planted.
