Berna for Pellegrini or Zaniolo?
by Football Italia2 hours ago
Juventus could offer Federico Bernardeschi in a part-exchange for either Lorenzo Pellegrini or Nicolo Zaniolo next summer, according to La Stampa.
The pair clash at the Stadio Olimpico on Sunday evening, and the Turin daily speculates that the two clubs could do business next summer.
Juve director of sport Fabio Paratici is thought to be an admirer of both Pellegrini and Zaniolo.
Pellegrini has a €30m release clause which the Giallorossi are trying to eradicate via a new contract, whilst Zaniolo recently signed a deal that ties him to the capital until June 2024.
However, if Roma fail to make it into the Champions League next season, they will be forced to sell one of their prized assets, and it is here that Juve hope to take advantage.
The Bianconeri are reportedly willing to offer midfielder Bernardeschi in a part-exchange to soften the blow for Roma.
The 25-year-old has failed to command a regular first team place at Juve, despite being tried out in a myriad of different positions under Max Allegri and Maurizio Sarri.
Bernardeschi signed for the club in the summer of 2017 from Fiorentina, but his time in Turin could be coming to an end should performances not improve.

It seems a good fit for Bernardeschi, I'd be surprised if there was serious interest from outside Serie A and not many Italian sides can afford him. Plus I think he'd do well at Roma.

Swapping with Zaniolo seems a good way for Roma to afford him.

Although these types of rumours where we want to buy a player from the team we are about to play often crop up and rarely happen.

More money for him and his agent in summer. Players usually don't sign 6 months before their contract runs out.

We've 7 CMs, makes more sense to invest the extra he'd cost now on another player, can't sell an injured Khedira. Can't replace Can with Eriksen bc very diff players.

Berna for Zaniolo? Where do I sign? I just hope Burnturdeski is willing to shift his ass from Torino to Roma; it's always hard to displace undesirables, and that's why we're stuck with the midfield we have now. I'd sell everyone in that midfield without hesitation, everyone except for Bentancur.

Auoar and Tonali and I could forgive Tootsie for failing to get Eriksen. Still, it doesn't help us at all this season.
